Guillen Folds to Turn Barrel From Howard

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Angel Guillen limped in from the small blind, then called when Nicholas Howard raised to 130,000 in the big blind.

Guillen checked a {2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} flop to Howard, who bet 85,000. Guillen called.

On the {4-Clubs} turn, Guillen checked again, and Howard bet 300,000. That did the trick as Guillen released his hand.

Cartwright Takes From De Silva

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Upeshka De Silva raised to 65,000 from the cutoff, and Kyle Cartwright called in the big blind.

Cartwright check-called a bet of 60,000 from De Silva on a {4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop, then called a 145,000 bet from De Silva on the {k-Hearts} turn.

Both players checked the {a-Diamonds} river, and Cartwright flipped up {a-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a rivered two pair. De Silva mucked.

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jan Bednar Eliminated in 12th Place ($23,838)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jan Bednar
Jan Bednar

Jan Bednar, who managed to triple up his remaining 30,000 a few hands early, jammed for 90,000 from under the gun. Nicholas Howard three-bet to 150,000 on the button, chasing out the blinds.

Jan Bednar: {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Nicholas Howard: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

"Good luck, man," Howard offered to Bednar.

Howard's ace-jack would hold up after a {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} board failed to provide Bednar any help.

In a hand that stretched a few minutes into break, Jan Bednar checked from the big blind on {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Nicholas Howard bet 200,000. Bednar called and the river was a {5-Clubs}. He checked and Howard jammed for 655,000. Bednar called with a sigh.

Howard opened {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a flush and Bednar mucked. He was left with 30,000.
