Abediarani Makes the Right Call

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In a pot of around 55,000, the flop was reading {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. [Removed:321] Abediarani bet 16,000 from the small blind and Ian Kalman called from the button.

The dealer burned and turned the {8-Hearts}, and this time Abediarani check-called a bet of 36,000 from Kalman.

The {8-Diamonds} filled up the board and Abediarani checked once more. Kalman continued with another bet of 55,000 and Abediarani called again. Kalman showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for ace-high and Abediarani revealed {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} to win the pot.

Ferguson Busted

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson

Chris Ferguson was grinding an ultra-short stack for a while but finally met his demise when he shoved under the gun for 11,000 and picked up two callers. The {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} checked through to the {9-Clubs} turn. Big blind Thomas Cazayous bet into the dry side pot and folded out the third player, and he showed {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top pair.

Ferguson had flopped the best of it with {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts} but now needed to improve. The {3-Clubs} river didn't do it.

At other tables, Blair Hinkle and Dan Colpoys hit the rail.

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Luke Martinelli raised to 7,000 on the cutoff and Francisco Torrecillas, in the small blind three-bet to 21,500. Martinelli stuck around with a call.

The flop was {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Torrecillas fired a bet of 16,000 that Martinelli called.

The turn brought the {q-Hearts} and was checked through to the {7-Diamonds} river. This time, Torrecillas checked. Martinelli moved all in for about 147,000 and Torrecillas snap-called with his last 62,500. Spinella and Unsal Play a Big One

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Anthony Spinella, pictured in an earlier event.
Anthony Spinella, pictured in an earlier event.

We found Onur Unsal thinking, head in his hands, in the cutoff on {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Anthony Spinella jammed on him on the river from the small blind for 133,000 into a pot of around 180,000.

According to Kane Kalas, action was all preflop with Unsal three-betting to 18,000 over an open under the gun from Asi Moshe. Then, Spinella made it 50,000 and Unsal responded with 92,000. They then checked to the river, leading to Spinella's jam.

After several minutes in the tank, Unsal let it go.
