Yue Du arrived for Day 2 wielding one of the larger stacks in the field, and has maintained it through the first three levels. A recent pot saw him lead out 6,000 on a ![]()

flop from middle position, called by one late position opponent. Du checked the
turn, as did his opponent. A fourth spade arrived on the river - the
- and now Du led out for 16,000. His opponent, with 75,000 behind, made the call, but mucked when Du showed down ![]()
: the nuts from the turn.
"The river got you money," remarked a tablemate.

Mark Kroon has recovered from his recently lost pot and is about to receive a new batch of pinkish 5,000 value chips as a full rack of yellow 1,000s is balanced on the table next to him. He advised we report that the shorter stacks around him had been taking chunks out of him, but they did not corroborate this story.
"Is that close to chip leader?" he said of his own stack, "Do I get anything for that?" Not yet, is the answer, but he is in great shape stack-wise as the field drops to 1,107.

Mark Kroon is still sitting on one of the larger stacks in the Pavilion Room, but Mansour Alipourfard just took a chunk out of Kroon's pile.
Kroon had to pay off Alipourfard, who got all of his chips in at some point in the hand with ![]()

On a three-way ![]()
![]()
flop, with around 22,000 in the pot, William Gray moved all in first to act from the small blind for 21,900. A middle position player re-jammed for 44,800 and action turned to the last player to act, button Mike Lisanti, who covered them both. After a think, Lisanti made the call and two pots were up for grabs.

Gray housed up on the
turn, and the brick
changed nothing between the other two, so Lisanti's pair of jacks won the side pot while Gray stacked triple the chips with which he'd started the hand.
"I thought I was on my way home," he said.

Players are on their first 20-minute break of the day; play resumes with Level 13 when the field comes back.
Konstantin Puchkov has doubled up his neighbour William Todd. Todd moved all in on a ![]()
![]()
flop for 36,700 when big blind Puchkov checked to him. He asked for a pot count from the dealer and got a spread instead (all that's allowed by way of pot estimation) - it was already around 33,000 and there had clearly been more than one raise preflop. Puchkov considered for a while, counted out the exact call, then set the stack of chips neatly in the middle.
Todd: ![]()
for the overpair.
Puchkov: ![]()
for one overcard to the jacks and the heart flush draw.
"Ooooh, close!" muttered more than one player on the table.
The turn and river ran out ![]()
, giving Todd a full double through.
