Welcome to Event #36: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout

Round 1 of Event #36: $3,000 Limit Hold'em Shootout gets underway at 3 p.m. local time. Last year, Joe Cada won this event after outlasting 363 competitors to claim his third bracelet and the first-place prize of $226,218. Cada claimed his fourth bracelet in 2018 as well, and have over $13 millions in earnings at the World Series of Poker. Cada already has four cashes this summer including a 26th place finish in the first shootout tournament of this series, Event #17: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout.

Cards will be in the air at 3 p.m. local time and players will begin with a stack of 20,000 chips. They will play 40-minute levels until only one player remains standing at each table in order to advance to Round 2, which will take place tomorrow. There will be a 15-minute break every two levels. Late registration will remain open throughout the first three levels, and will close at approximately 5:15 p.m. or at sellout, whichever comes first.
