Elezra Downed to a Nub on Stone Bubble

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Big O

On the last hand before hand-for-hand, Eli Elezra and Yuri Dzivielevski made it to the river of the {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs} board which ruled out a low. They had placed bets of 4,500 and 11,500 on previous streets and Elezra checked the river from the big blind. Dzivielevski fired 25,000 from the cutoff and Elezra called, leaving himself with the last 900. Dzivielevski tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a full house and Elezra mucked his hand.

Hand-for-Hand

Owais Ahmed was eliminated in 35th place and the tournament staff announced a hand-for-hand format upon the completion of the current hand at each table.

Siddique Gets Much Needed Double

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Usman Siddique raised to 12,800 in the cutoff, leaving himself just 1,600 behind. Jon Turner called on the button and they went heads up to the {q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop where Siddique check-called for the rest. He was in tremendous shape, having flopped the top set with {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Turner needed a runner-runner with {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} but the {6-Hearts} turn sealed it for Siddique. The {8-Clubs} was a meaningless formality.

Jeff Lisandro
Jeff Lisandro

Pot-Limit Omaha

With the board showing {2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and a sizeable pot on the line, Jared Bleznick fired 9,000 in on the river against Jeff Lisandro. Lisandro didn't take much time to call, and the six-time bracelet winner showed down {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the winning heart flush.

Bleznick has been at or near the top of the chip leaderboard most of the day, and Lisandro is starting to make his own run toward the chip lead.

Noam Survives

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Danny Noam was in position, moving all in for 17,700 after the first draw. Jonathan Depa looked him up and they drew one each. Depa still needed to improve on the last draw and Noam patted, showing {8-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-}.

Depa had {8-}{7-}{5-}{2-} so he could only hope for a chop, and while he made a strong hand, his eight-seven-six finished second.

Hellmuth Tackled by Flack

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Layne Flack made it 3,000 on the button, Ray Henson flatted in the small blind, and Phil Hellmuth moved all his chips forward. He had around 27,000 so it was technically only a pot-sized raise, but Flack repotted to force a fold from Henson, and Hellmuth called off.

On the first draw, Hellmuth drew two and Flack one.

Flack had a made hand and patted after Hellmuth had peeled two again.

Hellmuth squeezed one on the final draw and Flack opened {9-}{8-}{7-}{6-}{2-}. Hellmuth showed {7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for plenty of outs but he turned up an {a-}.

"You donkey motherf****r," Hellmuth ranted. "I bet you think you played your hand good," he added before storming out of the room.
