Pots for Sammartino and Jachtmann

Level 4 : 300/600, 0 ante

On the completed board of {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, Dario Sammartino faced a bet of 8,000 and raised it up to 32,500, which was eventually called.

Sammartino rolled over {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} for the nut straight and another player at the table joked "wow, you flopped it Dario." The opponent in the hand mucked {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for the five-high straight.

Jan-Peter Jachtmann has also claimed a pot, where he indeed "flopped it" when taking on Raphael Schreiner. The latter raised to 1,800 and Jachtmann defended in the small blind. On the {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} flop, Jachtmann check-raised from 600 to 1,600 and Schreiner called. Jachtmann bet the {k-Clubs} turn for 4,000 and received a call before the {9-Diamonds} on the river was checked.

Jachtmann tabled {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for the second nuts and Schreiner mucked.

The flop landed {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Mizrachi continued for 2,000 and Taylor called.

The turn fell the {6-Spades}, and after Mizrachi checked, Taylor bet 6,000 and Mizrachi folded.

Benson Takes It on the Turn

Level 4 : 300/600, 0 ante

Raphael Schreiner raised to 1,800 and Sandeep Pulusani three-bet to 6,300 from one seat over, which was called by William Benson. Schreiner sent his cards into the muck and they went heads-up to the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop. Neither player bet and the {q-Spades} fell on the turn. Pulusani checked and folded when facing a bet of 5,200 by Benson.

Despite picking up this pot, the last hours haven't been as pleasant for Benson as he has dropped to around half the starting stack.

Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

On a board of {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Michael Mizrachi bet out 26,000 and Jonathan Abdellatif called in the cutoff.

The river landed the {10-Hearts} and Mizrachi announced he was all in for roughly his last 40,000. Abdellatif instantly called.

Mizrachi tabled just his {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for the nut full house.

Abdellatif revealed his {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for rivered quads to eliminate the five-time WSOP bracelet winner from the Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller.

Morgenstern Doubles Through Kamran

Level 4 : 300/600, 0 ante

Anton Morgenstern opened to 2,000 in middle position and Sam Snead called in the hijack. From the cutoff, Michael Kamran raised to 9,000 and both George Wolff and Andrew Nguyen called from out of the blinds.

Morgenstern potted to 51,600 leaving himself just 3,500 behind, and after Snead folded, Kamran announced pot. Wolff and Nguyen quickly folded.

Morgenstern: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}
Kamran: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Spades} and Morgenstern's flopped two pair saw him collect the double through Kamran's aces.

Varnell Eliminated by Ashby

Level 4 : 300/600, 0 ante

Craig Varnell was spotted on his way out of the tournament area while on his former table, Dominykas Karmazinas and David Len Ashby were involved in table chat.

"What do you want me to do? I had the nuts," Ashby replied to Karmazinas and then explained that he had flopped the nut straight with {a-}{q-}{j-}{x-} on a {k-}{10-}{9-} flop, while Varnell was all in with {j-}{j-}{8-}{6-} for an open-ended straight draw and diamond flush draw.

Alaei Jams Into Teska

Level 4 : 300/600, 0 ante

With plenty of chips already in the middle and the turn showing {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, Daniel Alaei in the big blind raised the pot to 86,400 and Roger Teska made the call on the button.

The {8-Clubs} fell on the river and Alaei moved all in for what appeared to be 34,000, Teska double-checked his cards and folded.
