Double Knockout for Tran

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
JC Tran
JC Tran

The cards were already on the back and the dealer counted the stacks of JC Tran, Kahle Burns and Kyle Bowker. Tran had the biggest stack and also ended up with the best hand holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for the nut flush on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} board.

Bowker had an inferior flush with {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Burns still had his {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a flopped set of sevens showing.

"Alright, off to the cage," Burns added and will likely be back very soon.

Quads for Galland Ousts Chabra

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

"Oh God," said Ajay Chabra as he got to his feet tabling {a-}{a-}{10-}{4-} on an {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} runout. He had flopped top set and rivered the nut full house but opponent Benoit Galland held {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and had rivered quads to send his opponent to the rail.

"I thought my spades were good," said Galland.

Karmazinas Leaves Winter Short

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Picking up the action on the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, Sean Winter in the big blind bet 63,000 and Dominykas Karmazinas called from one seat over. The {5-Hearts} fell on the river and both Winter and Karmazinas frantically played with their chips. Winter then checked and Karmazinas opted to bet 145,000, he stopped playing with his chips and stared at the board.

Winter was trying to get any read and eventually called to get shown the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a full house.

"What the fuck did you have?" Winter asked Niko Soininen in the one seat, who had folded on an earlier street.

Paddock Takes It on the Turn

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

On a four-way flop of {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}, a bet of 13,000 by Anthony Alberto was called by Michael Heritsch and Robert Paddock. The {j-Spades} fell on the turn and Alberto checked, as did Heritsch. Paddock bet the pot for 75,500 and had about as much behind.

Alberto quickly folded and Heritsch needed some more time to come to the same conclusion.

Keith Lehr
Keith Lehr

The full board of {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{k-Clubs}{4-Hearts} was out between Keith Lehr and Anton Morgenstern. Lehr checked to his opponent who bet 82,000. Lehr tanked and eventually mucked.

"You had a straight?" asked Lehr. "I had a big hand."

"I really thought you would have called," replied Morgenstern. "I usually get called in those situations."

"It's hard to fold top set," replied Lehr.

Bustouts and Re-Entries

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Among those to re-enter were Sam Soverel, Pakinai Lisawad and Norbert Szecsi, new entries include Cary Katz, Eric Wasserson, Dash Dudley and James Lenaghan. The latter has apparently already been eliminated, and he was joined on the rail by Thomas Saad, Michael Kamran and Josh Arieh.

Arieh had re-entered on Day 1 and won't be allowed to take another shot at the bracelet in the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller.

Winter Busts Pham

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Sean Winter earlier in the WSOP
Sean Winter earlier in the WSOP

Cong Pham from under the gun and Sean Winter on the button got their stacks in after the {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts} turn and it was Pham at risk for around 125,000 with the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for top two pair. Winter turned over {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for a set of fives and the {3-Clubs} river failed to improve Pham.
