Karakitukov Bests Mizrachi

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Veselin Karakitukov
Veselin Karakitukov

Just before the blinds went up, Robert Mizrachi bet the river of a completed board of {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for 350,000 and Veselin Karakitukov called.

Mizrachi was shown the {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a full house and he flashed his {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a busted straight and flush draw.

"I am lucky that you didn't bet the flop," Mizrachi added in table chat.

Gjergj Sinishtaj Eliminated in 19th Place ($50,759)

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Gjergj Sinishtaj
Gjergj Sinishtaj

Gjergj Sinishtaj raised to 135,000 first to act and he was called by Veselin Karakitukov in the cutoff and Esther Taylor in the small blind. Taylor checked the {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and Sinishtaj moved all in.

"How much is that?" Karakitukov asked and the all in of Sinishtaj was deemed to be for 340,000 total. Karakitukov moved all in and Taylor folded.

Gjergj Sinishtaj: {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Veselin Karakitukov: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The Bulgarian rail took a closer look from the rail and "that's a fair fight" was mentioned in table chat by Sinishtaj.

Neither the {a-Clubs} turn nor the {j-Clubs} river provided any help and Sinishtaj was sent to the rail in 19th place for $50,759.

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
James Chen
James Chen

Stephen Chidwick opened to 140,000 and got a call from Paul Volpe as well as James Chen and Anson Tsang in the blinds.

The four players each checked the {5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{j-Spades} flop and Chen then bet 500,000 on the {3-Diamonds} turn. Tsang called and the other two players both folded.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Chen bet pot or 1,560,000. Tsang deliberated for a good while before calling.

Chen showed {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a rivered straight and Tsang mucked, left with around six big blinds behind.

Korkis and Tollerene Chip Up

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

On a three-way flop of {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, the initial raiser Wasim Korkis made it 275,000 to go and James Chen folded from one seat over. Paul Volpe in the big blind gave it some consideration and check-called. The {j-Diamonds} followed on the turn and Volpe check-folded to a pot-sized bet by Korkis.

One table over, Matthew Gonzales went through the blinds to lose further chips and Ben Tollerene was up next in the big blind. Alex Epstein raised the cutoff to 150,000 and Tollerene made the call. Tollerene bet the pot for 330,000 on the {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop and Epstein folded.

Matt Giannetti
Matt Giannetti

Erik Seidel raised from the button and Matt Giannetti three-bet the pot from the big blind with few chips behind, Seidel called. They got it in after the {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop and Giannetti was the player at risk and in trouble.

Matt Giannetti: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Erik Seidel: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Not only had Seidel flopped top pair, but he also held the flush draw to reduce the outs of Giannetti further. The {k-Hearts} turn improved Seidel to trips kings and Giannetti bricked his gutshot on a blank {2-Spades} river to bow out in 18th place for $50,759.

Two in a Row for Tosoc

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

On a heads-up turn of {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, Ryan Tosoc checked out of the small blind and called a bet of 240,000 by Robert Mizrachi in the cutoff. They checked the {3-Diamonds} on the river and Tosoc won the pot with {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for aces and sixes.

One hand later, Mizrachi opened again and Tosoc came along from the button, as did Veselin Karakitukov in the big blind. The {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was checked to Tosoc and he bet 225,000. Only Karakitukov was interested to see another card and called, while Mizrachi folded.

The {9-Spades} fell on the turn and Karakitukov quickly folded to another bet worth 600,000.
