Wang Gets a Fold from Negreanu

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised to 22,000 in the cutoff and Yong Wang three-bet to 76,000 from the small blind. Negreanu called and the two players saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

Wang led out for 60,000 and Negreanu stuck around to see the {9-Diamonds} on the turn. After using a time extension, Wang stuck in another bet of 130,000 which prompted a snap-fold from Negreanu.

Hutter Tracking the Leaders

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Barry Hutter started the day with just over one million in chips, good enough for fourth in chips when Day 2 got underway.

However, after Ben Heath's elimination of Roger Teska moved him closer to chip leader Ali Imsirovic, Hutter has followed suit with the elimination of Thomas Winters.

Winters was all in with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and flopped a jack, but it wasn't enough as Hutter held {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} and sent his opponent to the rail.

Hallaert Starts the Rebuilding Process

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Kenny Hallaert
Kenny Hallaert

After running jacks into kings, former November Niner Kenny Hallaert, was all-in from the small blind for a small side pot of just 16,000. Both Thomas Muehloecker and Johannes Becker were still in the hand on the {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board.

"Have you looked?" tablemate Igor Kurganov asked Hallaert.

"No," he replied. "I have a lot of sevens in my range...I also have a lot of jack-highs in my range. It's 50:50."

Becker check-called 52,000 and the river was the {k-Diamonds}. Both players checked and all cards were turned over.

Johannes Becker: {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Thomas Muehloecker: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Hallaert turned over the {8-Diamonds} first and then the {7-Spades} giving him trips.

"I told you it was 50:50!" said Hallert.

On the very next hand, Hallaert quadrupled up with pocket tens to move above 80,000 in chips.

Clark Doubles Through Loeser

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Tobias Ziegler opened to 22,000 from the cutoff and Manig Loeser flat-called on the button. Zach Clark was in the small blind and pushed all in for around 140,000. Ziegler folded and Loeser quickly called to put Clark at risk.

Zach Clark: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Manig Loeser: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

It was a coin flip that saw Clark take the lead on the {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop. The {4-Clubs} and {4-Diamonds} runout was no help to Loeser but the double up hardly put a dent in his stack.

Hallaert Can't Dodge the River

Level 10 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Kenney Hallaert was looking to make a comeback for the ages after being down to just 2,000 chips and he was all in again for 63,000 in early position. Ali Imsirovic three-bet on the button which forced out both of the blinds.

Ali Imsirovic: {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Kenny Hallaert: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Hallaert's pair of fours were still in the lead. The {6-Spades} on the turn was also safe but the river brought the {8-Spades} which connected with Imsirovic.

Lewis Under Ten Big Blinds

Level 10 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On a {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs} board, Eric Wasserson checked to Toby Lewis who bet 55,000. Wasserson then check-raised all in for 139,000 and Lewis called.

Wasserson showed {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a rivered flush and Lewis was forced to turn over {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

Left with 43,000, he moved all in from early position. It folded around to Erik Seidel in the big blind who smiled as he contemplated his decision. Eventually, he called.

Erik Seidel: {9-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Toby Lewis: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Lewis eventually held on the {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{k-Hearts} runout despite Seidel turning a flush draw. The table laughed as Lewis raked in the pot.

Kempe's Big Slick is No Good

Level 10 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Elias Talvitie opened to 25,000 from under the gun and Sean Winter called from the hijack. Rainer Kempe slid out a three-bet of around 300,000 for nearly his entire stack. Talvitie quickly folded but Winter announced all in which Kempe instantly called.

Sean Winter: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Rainer Kempe: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

In a classic coin flip, the flop came {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} which left Kempe grasping at straws. The {9-Clubs} on the turn and the {2-Clubs} on the river changed nothing and Kempe was forced to the rail.
