James Woods

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

James Woods was all in for his last 400 on a flop of {q-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} from under the gun. Gerald Ringe was to his left and called, as did a player in middle position. The hijack then raised to 1,200 and was called by the the player on the button. The players in the small- and big blinds were also in the hand and folded. Both Ringe and the player in middle position called, taking action four ways to the turn for a side pot.

The turn came {9-Spades} and Ringe checked. The player in middle position bet and all three players called.

The river was {8-Clubs} and action checked to the player on the button who bet and received three calls.

James Woods: {8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Gerald Ringe: {4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Middle Position: (mucked hand)
Hijack: {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}
Button: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The player on the button announced the nut flush and took down the high. The lo was chopped by the four-twos of Ringe and the hijack, each taking one-quarter of the pot. Woods found himself with nothing more than a pair of eights and was eliminated from the tournament.
