Bohlman Cut Back Down

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

"I had a big hand," Scott Bohlman said as he grabbed his cards and mucked them already when Joshua Tieman turned the nuts with {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} on a board of {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} to double through Bohlman for 150,000.

Shortly after, William Benson was eliminated by Dash Dudley and then Bohlman bet-folded against a jam of Ray Henson in a three-way pot to lose some further chips.

Schwartz Cracks A Milly With Quads

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

A player had bet 130,000 into a pot of 270,000 on a {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} board, and Luke Schwartz had set him in for his last 100,000. He took a few moments, then called.

Schwartz showed him the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} out of his hand first before revealing the {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, and his opponent showed he had been one-outered as he held the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

"Go win a second bracelet!" Schwartz's defeated opponent said as he made his leave.

"You win the bracelet, you gotta thank me, for sure." Eddie Ochana, who doubled Schwartz up a few hands earlier, said with a wry smile as Schwartz stacked up his latest bounty.

Flack Set Back By Kalas

Layne Flack
Layne Flack

Kane Kalas limped in from the small blind, and Layne Flack raised to 16,000 in the big blind. Kalas called.

Kalas check-called a bet of 25,000 on the {7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop, and both players checked the {3-Spades} turn. Kalas bet 19,000 on the {10-Hearts} river, and Flack folded.

Up and Down for Bohlman

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Scott Bohlman
Scott Bohlman

On a {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, William Benson checked and called a bet of 35,000 by Scott Bohlman. The {j-Hearts} fell on the river and Benson check-folded to a bet of 80,000.

Bohlman then limped in and Sylvain Loosli raised in the hijack, which Bohlman called. On the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, Bohlman checked and called a small bet worth 13,000 before leading the {q-Clubs} turn for 50,000. Loosli made the call and the {k-Spades} river completed the board.

That slowed down Bohlman, who opted to check. Loosli moved all in for what appeared to be 110,000 and Bohlman quickly released his cards into the muck.

Action Flop Sends Double To Li

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Yi Li got his last 45,000 or so chips in the pot on a {10-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Spades} flop, and was at risk against Tom Hu.

Yi Li: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Tom Hu: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}

Hu had flopped the nuts with the straight, but Li had a plethora of outs with top set and the nut flush draw. Li couldn't improve on the {a-Clubs} turn, but the {5-Spades} river gave Li the nuts and the pot.

Schwartz Rivers The Nuts To Double

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Luke Schwartz in a previous event
Luke Schwartz in a previous event

Luke Schwartz raised to 15,000 from middle position, and Jeffrey Landherr called in the hijack. Eddie Ochana three-bet to 65,000 in the small blind, and both Schwartz and Landherr called.

Schwartz leaned up over the table, cards clutched near his face as the {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop fell. Ochana bet 200,000, and Schwartz called off his last 135,500, while Landherr folded.

Luke Schwartz: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Eddie Ochana: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Both players held draws, but Ochana's ace-high was the best hand at the moment. The {8-Diamonds} turn paired Ochana, but Schwartz picked up a straight and flush draw that came in on the {7-Hearts} river, giving last night's $10,000 2-7 Triple Draw bracelet winner a double a straight.

"Yes! Wow...so lucky." Schwartz said after the river fell.

Faroni Eliminated by O'Dea

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Eoghan O'Dea three-bet the pot out of the small blind and initial raiser Abraham Faroni made the call from early position.

On the {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Spades} flop, O'Dea moved all in and Faroni called with a very similar stack size.

Abraham Faroni: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Eoghan O'Dea: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}

"You have spades? I needed them," Faroni said and the {6-Spades} turn left him drawing to just one out for the straight flush. The {8-Clubs} river was a blank and the stacks were counted. Faroni had been all in for 61,500 and O'Dea had him covered with 66,000.

Below are the stack sizes of the other players at the table.

Marji Gets Coolered By Pham

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

After a bet by Cong Pham in the hijack on a {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Melad Marji raised to 106,000 from the cutoff. Pham responded with a three-bet to 364,500, and he committed his last 17,000 after Marji four-bet shoved.

Cong Pham: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Melad Marji: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Pham's top set was in the lead over Marji's middle set, but Marji still had the nut flush draw to fall back on. The {4-Spades} turn and {8-Hearts} river bricked off for Marji, and Pham scooped in the massive pot.
