Hands #49-52: Team Geiger Getting the Right Cards

Hand #49: A walk for Barak Wisbrod of Team Geiger. "No!" Wisbrod exclaimed and then he tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Jerod Smith laughed as he had folded his small blind: "This is how I avoid getting into trouble."

hand #50: Zachary Gruneberg raised to 160,000 from the cutoff and Wisbrod three-bet to 525,000 in the small blind. Gruneberg folded and Wisbrod showed he held {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

Hand #51: Smith raised to 175,000 from the cutoff and Wisbrod called on the button. The flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, Smith check-called the 175,000 bet of Wisbrod. They both checked through the {2-Spades} on the turn to the {3-Diamonds} on the river. Smith checked for the last time and Wisbrod bet 1,000,000. Smith smiled and tanked but opted to fold in the end.

Hand #52: Wisbrod raised to 160,000 from the cutoff and John Hinds called on the button, as did Gruneberg in the big blind. They all checked through the {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} on the flop to the {4-Spades} on the turn. Gruneberg bet 210,000 and that was enough to pick up the pot.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, Wisbrod continued with a bet of 125,000 and Hinds called. The turn was the {10-Spades}, Wisbrod bet 420,000 and Hinds called again. The river completed the board with the {7-Clubs}, Wisbrod slowed down and decided to check. Hinds fired a bet of 850,000 into the pot and Wisbrod opted to let his hand go.

Hand #42: Barak Wisbrod raised to 125,000 from middle position, and Jerod Smith called from the big blind. The flop fell {5-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}, and Wisbrod took down the pot with a 210,000 continuation bet after Smith had checked.

Hand #43: Gruneberg called on the button, and Smith called in the small blind before Wisbrod raised to 300,000 in the big blind, which only Gruneberg called. Both players checked on the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop and again on the {a-Clubs} turn. The river fell the {4-Spades} and Wisbrod's 180,000 bet won the pot.

Hand #44: Coppola called from under the gun and made up the rest after Smith made it 200,000 to go from the button. Both players checked on the {k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop, before Coppola check-folded to a 200,000 delayed continuation bet from Smith.

Hand #45: Gruneberg raised to 120,000 and Wisbrod called on the button, as did Coppola in the big blind. The flop fell {2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, and only Coppola called a 145,000 bet from Wisbrod. The turn was the {j-Clubs}, and Coppola check-folded to a 420,000 bet from Wisbrod.

Hand #38: Fabio Coppola of Team Washinsky raised to 150,000 from under the gun and Zachary Gruneberg of Team Jurkiewicz called in the cutoff as did John Hinds in the big blind. The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, both Hinds and Coppola check-folded to the 175,000 bet of Gruneberg.

Hand #39: Hinds completed his small blind and Coppola opted to check. They both checked through the {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop to the {5-Diamonds} on the turn. Hinds check-folded to the 100,000 bet of Coppola.

Hand #40: Jerod Smith raised to 125,000 from the hijack and Danny Wong of Team Jung called in the big blind. They both checked through the {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop to the {2-Clubs} on the turn. Wong bet 165,000 which Smith called. The river completed the board with the {5-Spades}, Wong now fired a bet of 380,000 over the line and Smith pushed his cards over the line for the fold.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} which gave Marder a glimmer of hope as a seven would give him a straight to stay alive and double up but he bricked the river as the {8-Diamonds} fell to give Wisbrod a full house.

Marder, his brother Daniel Marder, and his uncle Paul Steinberg were eliminated in seventh place for $20,750.

The flop fell {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and only Barak Wisbrod called the 175,000 continuation bet from Smith. Both players checked on the {j-Spades} turn, and when the river fell the {q-Hearts}, Wisbrod bet 500,000 which Smith snap-called. Smith tabled {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a flush and took the pot.

Hand #32: Zachery Gruneberg raised to 125,000 from under the gun and saw Wisbrod three-bet to 375,000 from the button which got a fold from Gruneberg when the action got back on him.

Hand #33: Wisbrod raised to 125,000 from the cutoff, and Steve Sung defended his big blind. Sung check-called a 115,000 c-bet from Wisbrod on the {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop, and both players checked on the {8-Hearts} turn. The river was the {k-Hearts}, and Sung's 350,000 bet received a call. Sung tabled {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} but lost out to Wisbrod's {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

Hand #34: Gruneberg received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #35: Wisbrod raised to 125,000, and Fabio Coppola called before Sung moved all in for 800,000, which was enough to take down the pot after two folds.

Hand #36: Wisbrod raised to 125,000 from under the gun and was called by John Hinds in mid-position and Jerod Smith in the big blind. The flop came {3-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for both Smith and Wisbrod to check-folded to the 180,000 bet of Hinds.

Hand #27: Wisbrod raised to 125,000 from the hijack and Fabio Coppola of Team Washinsky three-bet to 250,000 from the button. The blinds folded and Wisbrod looked at Coppola's stack, took a few seconds and then shoved for Coppola to insta-fold.

Hand #28: Wisbrod raised to 125,000 from mid-position and that was enough to pick up the blinds and ante.

Hand #29: Wisbrod raised to 125,000 from under the gun and got no action.

Hand #30: Jerod Smith completed his small blind and Wisbrod opted to check. The flop came {6-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Smith bet 75,000 and Wisbrod called. The turn was the {3-Hearts}, Smith check-called the 75,000 bet of Wisbrod. The river was the {6-Diamonds} and they both checked again for Smith to scoop the pot with {q-Spades}{6-Spades} for trips sixes.

Hand #21: Jerod Smith raised to 130,000 from under the gun, and Michael Marder called in the big blind. The flop fell {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, and Marder check-folded to a 100,000 continuation bet from Smith.

Hand #22: Coppola raised to 125,000 from the hijack, and Steve Sung called in the cutoff. The action folded around to Marder in the big blind, and he moved all in for 800,000. Coppola asked for the count before he folded and Sung mirrored his action just 20 seconds later, allowing Marder to pick up the pot

Hand #23: Sung raised to 140,000 in the hijack, and Zachary Gruneberg called in the cutoff. The flop fell {k-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, and Gruneberg called a bet from Sung. The turn was the {8-Spades}, and Gruneberg gave up after Sung fired another 300,000 bet.

Hand #24: Gruneberg raised to 120,000 from the hijack and took down the pot preflop.
