Sam Cosby - Mario Hofler (264,000), Jordan Cristos - Jeffrey Cristos - Catherine Cristos (325,000), John Hinds - Anthony Zinno (370,000), Dragos Trofimov - Mihai Niste - Alexandru Papazian - Florian Duta (389,000), will also return to the action in with a chance.
Action of the Day
When the teams sat down in the Pavillion White to do battle, 278 were in with a chance, but only 147 would make the money places.
Team Wang consisting of Michael Wang - Dan Zack - Ajay Chabra were the unfortunate players to taste defeat on the money bubble after Wang ran his ace-jack into Adam Swan's pocket aces preflop, and was unable to find a miracle board.
The Tag Team event is made to bring players together and one of the best stories of the day was that of father and son team, William Drew and Parker Drew. William took to the tables for Day 2 while his son Parker competed in another event in Las Vegas. But when Parker heard of his Father's success as the day progressed, he was able to come to support him through the middle levels. Despite the team cracking aces on the river to survive in Level 17, Team Drew ultimately departed in 54th place - $2,843.
Among those to make the money spots were Team Nussmann, Team Malaguti, Team Manole, Team O'Kearney, Team Frank, Team Sylvia, Team Sitbon, Team Reichardt, Team Feshchenko, Team Grospellier and Team Gerrits.
Players will return to blinds of 8,000/16,000/16,000 big blind ante on Day 3, so stay tuned to PokerNews for continued coverage from Event #57: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em as the battle continues for gold and the $168,395 first-place prize.
