Barbosa Doubles to a Million

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Leandro Barbosa got his money in the middle with a classic coin flip. He was playing {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} when he got his chips in the middle against the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} of his opponent.

The board ran out with a {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop and that was still safe for the Brazilian. The {7-Clubs} turn and {3-Hearts} river were safe as well and he managed to secure a big double up.

Lucky River for Begni

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Roberto Begni opened under the gun to 35,000 and it folded to the big blind player who shoved for a stack around 320,000. Begni called with a bigger stack and the players tabled their cards:

Roberto Begni: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
His opponent: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Begni found no help at first on a flop {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, but the {8-Clubs} and the river {a-Clubs} completed the board, giving a runner-runner flush to Begni who stood up from joy after the river fell.

Burt Forces a Fold River

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Paul Burt started the action in the cutoff by raising to 34,000 and the player on the button called.
