Mathur's Eight Good

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Action was folded to Cody Espeseth on the button who put in a raise and got called by Sumir Mathur out of the big blind. Both players drew two cards and Mathur checked. Espeseth made a continuation-bet and Mathur made the call. The second draw went two and one and Mathur put in a check-raise after Espeseth fired a second barrel. Espeseth made the call and final draws went pat and one.

On the final street of betting, both players checked and Mathur tabled {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-}, taking down the pot with an eight-low as Espeseth mucked.

Badugi

Dzmitry Urbanovich was all in again, this time three ways in badugi. He took a card in the small blind, big blind Andrew Yeh took two, and Frankie O'Dell took one. Yeh check-called and draws repeated. Yeh and O'Dell checked then everyone took a card.

Action checked through and Urbanovich opened {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} with {6-Hearts}. Yeh had an identical three-card with {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and O'Dell mucked.

A-5 Triple Draw

Rep Porter was all in and needing help on the last draw as he needed a card. However, he didn't need much help as his neighbor Joshua Tieman peeled a {k-} to go with {2-}{3-}{4-}{5-}. Porter was drawing to {8-}{4-}{2-}{a-}. He peeled an {8-} to pair, much to his chagrin.

Andrulis Picks One Off

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Skippy Lorgeree raised from the hijack and was called by Kristijonas Andrulis out of the cutoff. The two went heads up to the draw, where Lorgeree took one card and Andrulis drew two. Lorgeree bet and Andrulis called and the second draw again went one and two. Action again saw Lorgeree bet and get called by Andrulis, and both players took one card on the final draw. Lorgeree fired a third barrel and Andrulis found a call, taking the hand to showdown.

Lorgeree turned over {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} signifying he had a pair, meanwhile Andrulis tabled {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{a-} and took the pot down with an eight-low.
