Schropfer Doubles Through Drinan

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Thomas Schropfer
Thomas Schropfer

Thomas Schropfer has avoided being the third person in a row to be busted by Connor Drinan. Schropfer has been nursing a short stack for a while but managed to double after getting it all in preflop with {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} against Drinan's {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

The flop ran out {8-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, giving Shropfer the straight but Drinan a flush draw. On the {k-Clubs} turn, the German couldn't bear to watch, turning his back on the table until his rail let him know that {q-Hearts} river was a brick.

Zachary Hench Eliminated in 12th Place ($15,871)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Zachary Hench
Zachary Hench

Zachary Hench has been sliding down in the counts and lost the last of it in a hand against Jon Turner.

Hench bet 300,000 on the {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and Turner called. Hench then barreled the river to the tune of his all in and it was an instant call from Turner.

Zachary Hench: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Jon Turner: {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Turner was ahead at this point and the {5-Diamonds} river locked up both the high (seven-high straight) and low (ace-three) hands, sending Hench to the rail in the process.

Schropher Doubles Through Burt

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Rodney Burt raised pre-flop to a little more than 500,000 and Thomas Schropfer moved all in which Burt called.

Schropfer had the {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} up against the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} of Burt.

The board ran out good for the German as it came {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} to give him the full pot and move his chip stack into a healthy position.

Big Stacks Take a Hit

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

First Connor Drinan lost some on a {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} board. He had check-called a 65,000 bet by Anthony Zinno on the turn and lead for 200,000 on the river, which Zinno increased to 600,000 and Drinan made the call. Zinno announced he had a full house as he tabled {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Drinan sent his cards into the muck.

The next hand on the other table saw David Prociak lose another hefty, this time at the hand of Scott Abrams. The board read {j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} on the turn and Prociak bet 300,000 into two opponents. Scott Abrams called but Jordan Spurlin passed. The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Prociak slowed down, checking to Abrams who made it 600,000 to see his cards. Prociak obliged but also mucked when he saw that Abrams held {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.
