Quads Overkill

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action picked up on a board reading {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} and the dealer counting down three stacks after a three-way preflop all-in. Preflop action replayed courtesy of TJ Shulman.

Shulman raised it to 12,000 from under-the-gun and a middle-position player made the call. With action on Julian Montois in late position he then three-bet shoved and Shulman made the call. At that point the middle-position player then went all in and Shulman also made that call, having both players covered, and all three players tabled their hands.

TJ Shulman: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Julian Montois: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
All-in Player: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Shulman was way ahead preflop, but that all changed on the turn after he was out-flopped by Montois, but he could have still hit the case ace for a better set. Instead the dealer fanned the case six on the turn, which secured the triple-up for Montois, eliminated the other all-in player and put a slight dent in Shulman's stack.

Shen vs Vornicu

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Zejin Shen raised from under-the-gun to 11,000, and when action folded to Valentin Vornicu in the cutoff he three-bet to 31,000 and Shen made the call.

Shen checked on the {10-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop, but after Vornicu continued for 30,000, Shen methodically counted out chips and put in a check-raise to 80,00. That action sent Vornicu into the tank for almost a minute before he mucked his cards.

The Power of the Check-Shove

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Charles Sewell made it 9.000 to go and the player in the next seat over then three-bet to 25,000 Action folded back around to Sewell and he made the call.

After Sewell checked the {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, his opponent continued for 35,000. Sewell promptly responded by check-shoving all in, and his opponent responded by promptly folding his cards.

Big Stack Bully

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

After a player in early position raised it up to 9,000, action folded to player on the button and he made the call. With action then on Geoffrey Rasmussen in the small blind, who had both players easily covered, he asked to see the original raiser's chipstack.

After the original raiser moved his hands for Rasmussen to see, Rasmussen then put in a three-bet to 40,000, which was more than enough to get both players to fold.
