Hall Bets Huge

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Galen Hall
Galen Hall

Reigning champion in this event Galen Hall is in the running and he has already chipped up. The most recent chips came in a hand that he opened to 600. He was called behind by two players before the big blind upped it to 3,000. Only Hall called and they went heads up to the flop.

It came {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} and it went check-check. The turn was the {q-Clubs} and Hall's opponent made a delayed continuation bet of 1,200. Hall increased it to 3,000 and got a call.

On the {6-Diamonds} river, Hall received a check from his opponent and bet a massive 35,000 over the line. It was quickly folded to and he scooped the chips.

Liu Makes the Call

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

There were two players in and action was on the turn with {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} on show and 7,300 in the pot. Eric Liu was playing the cutoff and he was heads up against the button. Liu bet 5,000, which his opponent called and the dealer laid an {8-Diamonds} on the river.

Liu checked and his opponent thought for a 20 seconds or so before placing 14,200 over the line. Liu made the call and turned over {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a set, which beat the {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} of his opponent.
