The fourth and final starting flight in Event #64: $888 Crazy Eights No-Limit Hold’em begins at 10 a.m. today. Yesterday's Day 1c flight drew the biggest field in the event to date, with a whopping 2,830 entries in the running. Together with Day 1a and Day 1b, Crazy Eights has attracted 5,694 players in total to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

With 662 entries through to Day 2, all having secured themselves a min-cash, today is the last chance for hopefuls to take a shot at the title, trophy and the $888,888 in first-place prize money. They will join Arsenii Karmatckii, Michael Kane and Ian Simpson tomorrow, each of which finished top of the counts in their respective flights. Kane is currently the overall chip leader with a 1,360,000 stack. Time will tell whether anyone will be able to eclipse his monster stack and return to Day 2 in pole position.

On the schedule for today are 19 30-minute levels, with a 20-minute break at the end of every four levels (two hours of play). There will be a 75-minute dinner break at the end of level 12 (around 6:40 p.m.). Play is guaranteed to reach the money, so players will return tomorrow having secured themselves a return on their investment. Huge Field

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Will Day 1d beat its predecessors? With 1,715 in the field after 15 minutes of play, it has already beaten Days 1a and 1b. The biggest flight so far was 1c but with 975 starting yesterday, there are almost double that number of entries already.

Greenstein In the Field

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Poker legend Barry Greenstein is in the running and is sat in Amazon room. He has added a little to his stack as the end of the first Level approaches.

Greenstein has already cashed six times this series, his best result so far 57th place in Event #32: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Seniors Championship.

Bentall Binks a Pair

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

In the penultimate hand of Level 1, Brian Smith raised the button to 300 and the UK's Toby Bentall, CEO of Oddschecker Global Media, defended his big blind to see a {3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop.

Bentall check-called a bet of 600 and then check-called one of 1,000 on the {2-Spades} turn.

Bentall checked for the third time on the {7-Diamonds} river and Smith did the same. Bentall tabled the {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} for top pair and it was good as Smith mucked his hand.

Quads for Heng

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

There were two players in on the river, with the completed board reading {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} and after a check, Tyler Heng bet 4,100 into the pot. His opponent called but mucked when he saw Heng held {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for quad jacks.

Fleischer and Waigel in the Mix

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Ezequiel Waigel and Terry Fleischer have been spotted in the throng. With almost $1.9 million in recorded live earnings, Fleicher is one of the ones to watch. He played in Day 1b two days ago but failed to bag. Hopefully for him, today will be a different story.
