Darie Goes for Three Barrels

Level 39 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Vlad Darie limped in the cutoff, Mario Hofler called in the small blind and Uselis Gediminas checked in the big.

Darie bet every street of the {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} board, firing 1,000,000 on the flop and 4,500,000 on the turn. Hofler escaped on the flop but Gediminas check-called twice to stick around until the river.

He checked to Darie one more time and Darie announced an all-in bet of 17,450,000. Gediminas spent two minutes tanking and then he folded his hand.

Vlad Darie raised to 1,600,000 in the hijack and Uselis Gediminas made it 6,000,000 from the small blind.

Darie asked his opponent to clear the view of his stack and then he jammed all in. Gediminas wasn't particularly pleased but he called for his 26,325,000 anyway.

Darie: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Gediminas: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

It looked good for Darie when the {a-Hearts} appeared in the window, but he'd soon find out that the flop was nearly as horrible as it gets as the dealer rolled out {10-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. The {8-Clubs} turn secured the double for Gediminas and he dragged the pot after the {4-Hearts} hit the felt.
