Recent Eliminations

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Kenneth Morrison moved all in for around 30,000 from early position. He was called by Matthew Diethelm in middle position.

"Uh-oh," said Morrison, with the remaining players all folding.

Kenneth Morrison: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Matthew Diethelm: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

"Ace me dealer," said Morrison and the flop {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} caused Morrison, who had gotten to his feet, to sit back down again.

The {j-Diamonds} turn, however, saw Morrison rise to his feet once more as Diethelm turned a set and after the insignificant river card landed, Morrison trudged to the rail.

Patrick Watts Bubbles

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

It took three hands to determine who the bubble boy was in the hand-for-hand process and Gauthier Abribat was involved in two of the hands.

Hand #2: Vinny Pahuja open-jammed for his remaining 55,500 from the small blind and Gauthier Abribat called from the big blind,

Vinny Pahuja: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}
Gauthier Abribat: {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Pahuja was ahead and able to pair his five on the {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop but the {6-Diamonds} turn gave Abribat the flush draw. Abribat was unable to eliminate Pahuja as the river fell the {a-Clubs} and there was another hand needed to burst the bubble.

Hand #3: Caufman Talley opened for 15,000 from middle position and folded after Patrick Watts jammed for 47,000 from the cutoff and was called by Gauthier Abribat from the small blind.

Patrick Watts: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Gauthier Abribat: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Abribat was back again trying to eliminate his opponent on the bubble, this time he was successful as the board ran out {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and he busted Watts on the bubble.

Shewski Flushes Woznicki's Cowboys, Sends Him Packing

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Woznicki open-jammed for 32,000 from middle position and was called by Brian Shewski on the button.

Brian Shewski: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Michael Woznicki: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Woznicki looked to be in good shape to double up until the {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop gave Shewski a flush draw.

The {3-Clubs} fell on the turn and Woznicki just needed to dodge a heart to stay alive.

Unfortunately the dealer indeed dropped the {q-Hearts} on the river and Woznicki was eliminated before reaching the money.

Mercini Busts Another

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Peter Mercini open-shoved from the button and was called by Paul Pritchett in the big blind.

Peter Mercini: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Paul Pritchett: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Pritchett was in a good position to double up as the {3-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop was dealt. However, the {6-Spades} on the turn gave Mercini a pair and Pritchett couldn't spike a ten to avoid elimination on the {7-Diamonds} river.

Vitaranyam Eliminates Fritz

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Joseph Fritz open-jammed for his remaining 6,500 and Senthil Vitaranyam three-bet to 15,000 from late position. Vitaranyam's raise was uncontested and the two players were heads up.

Joseph Fritz: {k-Spades}{2-Spades}
Senthil Vitaranyam: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Fritz came into Day 2 with the least amount of chips and needed some help to stay alive, but didn't get it on the {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop.

The {j-Spades} turn gave Fritz the flush draw, as he needed to spike a king or spade on the river to stay alive.

The dealer unfortunately peeled off the {10-Hearts}on the river and Fritz was eliminated from the tournament.
