Flush for Song After Confusion

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

After the floor was called to the table over a debate about who a certain card belonged on the deal, there was another controversy over a bet size being a raise or a call. After the initial confusion was eventually cleared up, three players saw a flop of {4-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Kevin Song bet on the flop and was called by both opponents.

The turn was the {2-Clubs}. Action was checked around. The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Song bet again, which folded out one of his opponents but got a call from the other. Song turned over the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for the flush and took down the decent size pot.

Gregorich and Brown Win Without Showdown

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Mark Gregorich raised on the button and James Chen called in the big blind. On the {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} flop, Chen check-raised and Gregorich called. Chen bet the {3-Hearts} turn and Gregorich raised. Chen gave it up.

At the neighboring table, Toru Wakamatsu raised in the cutoff and Andrew Brown three-bet it on his left. The big blind came along, as did Wakamatsu, making it three to the {j-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop. Brown bet and only the big blind continued. He check-called the {q-Spades} as well but waved the white flag on the {5-Diamonds} river with a check-fold.

McKeehen Rivers Nguyen Out of Tournament

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Joe McKeehen
Joe McKeehen

Stephanie Nguyen found herself all in before the flop holding {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} against the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} of Joe McKeehen. The flop would be good to Nguyen as it came the {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades}. The turn was a hamrless {6-Hearts}. But the river sent her home as the {q-Spades} peeled off to give McKeehen the winning pair.

Hui Survives

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Phil Hui
Phil Hui

Phil Hui was already all in before the river with {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} on the board. Eric Panayiotou checked from under the gun, Matthew Gonzales bet into the side pot, and Katherine Fleck thought a bit then folded.

"There's too much out there," Panayiotou declared, throwing in a call.

"Ace-high," Gonzales said with a shake of the head, showing {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} when instructed to turn his cards over.

Panayiotou had better ace-high with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Fleck lamented folding her pair. Hui took the main pot with {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

In a three-way pot, big blind Reese Newell bet the turn with {6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs} on the felt. Brock Parker called from early position and the small blind folded. The river was a {10-Hearts} and Parker called a bet but couldn't beat {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for trips.

Zinno Rivers Straight

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Anthony Zinno bet on a flop of {5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} his opponent called. The turn was the {10-Hearts}. Zinno bet again and was called again. The river came the {q-Spades}. Again Zinno led out with a bet and his opponent matched him with the chips in the middle.

Zinno showed the {j-Spades}{9-Spades} for the straight and pulled in the pot.

Panayoitou Binks on Hui Again

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Phil Hui opened from early position and got action from Eric Panayiotou in the cutoff and Katherine Fleck in the big blind. Hui bet the flop and turn on {3-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} but then checked the {9-Clubs} river. Panayiotou bet, Fleck tanked awhile and then folded, and Hui quickly called.

Panayiotou showed {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for the nuts.

"You got my number, bud," Hui said, referencing an earlier hand where Panayiotou also ran out a nut straight on him.

Overpair Good For Deeb

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Shaun Deeb bet on the turn of a board reading {8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} and got a call. The river was the {9-Hearts}. Deeb bet again and got another call from his opponent albeit this time after a few moments of though.

Deeb turned over the {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} which took the pot as his opponent mucked his hand.
