Laszlo Gets Value on River

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A large pot had already formed with over 600,000 in the middle and a board of {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

His opponent, who was in the big blind checked his option and Molnar Laszlo cut out his chips and pushed 400,000 in.

After some thought his opponent called and Laszlo tabled {7-Spades}{6-Hearts} to win the hand.

Tevis Stays Alive

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action folded to the hijack who put in a raise to 65,000. Next to act was Vitaly Tevis, who went all in for his remaining 275,000. The hijack made the call after everyone else folded.

Tevis: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out queen high {6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Neither played improved and Tevis got the double up with ace high.

Payout Lady Luck for Laak

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Phil Laak
Phil Laak

Phil Laak had all his chips in the middle and at risk. As his left neighboring player Manish Vaswani made the call.

Phil Laak: {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Manish Vaswani: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Vaswani had Laak in pretty rough shape, but before the dealer ran the board Laak looked up and asked "are you the payout lady?"

The question was unnecessary however as he out-flopped Vaswani with {9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. The {6-Clubs} turn and brick river secured Laak's double, and he definitely wont be needing the "payout lady" this hand.

Cichy Finds Aces and Doubles

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Hunter Cichy moved all in for his last 303,000 from under the gun. The player in the cutoff called and everyone else folded.

Cichy: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Cichy was in good shape but the flop of {j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs} had him needing to fade one of the two remaining jacks with the turn and river to come. The board completed {9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} to secure the double up for Cichy.

A Few Chip Counts

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Toplingrud's Tough Call is the Right One

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Nils Tolpingrud bet 110,000 from under the gun on a {2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop, with three players left to act behind.

Richard Kirsh raised all in for his last 660,000 from the cutoff, getting folds from the button and small blind. That brought the action back to Toplingrud, who tanked for a few moments before making the call.

Nils Tolpingrud: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Richard Kirsch: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Both players had a top-pair king, but Kirsh saw that he was in bad shape, outkicked against Topligrud's ace. The turn {5-Spades} and river {j-Diamonds} brought no help, and Kirsh headed to the payout desk.

Yuan Chips Up

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

As a early position player shoved all in preflop for around 180,000, action folded and to a player in between who just flat called. Allen Yuan, who was on the button isolated and re-shoved for over one million.

Action folded around and they went heads up with one player at risk.

Yuan: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Early Position: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out in Yuan's favor, {4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} giving him a full house and all the chips.
