Johnson Takes From Wen

Level 12 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Marco Johnson got the betting started with a 5,000 open on the button and Xiaofei Wen three-bet from the big blind. Johnson threw in the extra 2,500 and they went to the flop.

It was the {j-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Johnson check-called a 2,500 continuation bet. On the {9-Diamonds} turn it went check-check and an {8-Spades} was dealt on the river, bringing a one-card straight possibility. Wen check-folded to a 5,000 bet and Johnson took it down.

Griffith Has a Good Start

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Joshua Griffith raised and it was called by Christopher Dandrea on the button as well as Oleg Chebotarev and Pakinai Lisawad in the blinds.

The flop appeared {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and the four players checked. When a {4-Clubs} fell on the turn, Griffith bet after it was checked to him and only Dandrea called.

The river was completed with the {9-Hearts} and Dandrea called another bet from Griffith. Dandrea showed {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a pair of aces but the pot went to Griffith who held {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for two pair.

Ian O'Hara

Mark Radoja raised to 4,000 under the gun and Ian O'Hara upped it to 6,000 on the button, which Radoja called. On the {2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, Radoja check-called a 2,000 continuation bet.

The turn paired the board with the {7-Diamonds} and Radoja check-called O'Hara's 4,000 barrel. The river was a {2-Spades}, pairing the board again and the action was check-called on the last street, with Radoja paying another 4,000 to get to showdown.

Ian O'Hara turned over {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a flopped set that improved to quads on the turn and Radoja sent his cards into the muck.

Fhima Out

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

The eliminations continue to come thick and fast, with the latest two to hit the rail, David Fhima and Stuart Rutter. Fhima was down to the wire after losing a pot against Robert Albrecht just now. Fhima had already cashed three times this series but the Frenchman will have to look elsewhere for his fourth.

Wrong Call for Fhima

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

David Fhima raised under the gun and Greg Mueller called in the cutoff. Robert Albrecht three-bet from the small blind and Fhima and Mueller called.

The flop was {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Albrecht bet, once again called by Fhima and Mueller. On the {9-Diamonds} turn, only Fhima called a second bet from Albrecht.

The river fell a {6-Hearts} and Albrecht sent a third barrel. Fhima tanked for some time before opting to call but instantly regretted when he saw {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} in Albrecht's hand.
