Lichtenberger Jams on Friedman

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Perry Friedman made it 5,500 under the gun and Andrew Lichtenberger three-bet to 13,500 from the cutoff. Angel Guillen paused in the small blind but he eventually folded. Friedman called to see the flop.

It fell {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Friedman checked to Lichtenberger who tossed in enough chips to cover Friedman's remaining 35,000. Friedman folded and avoided the risk.

However, Friedman's seat was empty shortly thereafter and the table broke after his elimination.

Rocket Start for Seiver

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Scott Seiver was in the small blind, checking on the {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} turn. Christian Pham fired 26,000 from the hijack and Seiver paused.

"Call. See what happens," Seiver said, throwing in the chips.

The river came {k-Hearts} and both players quickly tapped the felt.

Seiver tabled {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Pham mucked his hand.

"Scary river. Very scary," Seiver said.

With his latest addition, Seiver has already been able to increase his stack to around 270,000, having played this event for just 40 minutes.

Collopy Doubles Through Kakon

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action folded to Jim Collopy on the button and he asked to see the stacks of Giussepe Pantaleo in the small blind and William Kakon in the big blind. After a moment of thought he raised to 6,500.

Pantaleo folded and Kakon shoved all in. Collopy couldn't get his 40,000 in chips in the middle fast enough, tabling {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Kakon tabled {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

The dealer fanned a flop of {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Collopy was still ahead with ace-high while Kakon picked up a straight draw. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the river was the {10-Hearts} to send the pot to Collopy.

Action folded to Scott Seiver in the small blind and he decided to limp in. The player in the big blind thought for a moment before moving all in. Seiver snap-called for just under 65,000 and quickly tabled {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

The big blind tabled {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, and Seiver found himself flipping for his tournament life. Luckily for him the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and he held for an early double.

"How Do I Run Into That Shit?!"

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action folded to Jeremy Wien in the cutoff and he raised to 5,600. Haixia Zhang was in the small blind and three-bet to 19,100. Wien asked for a count and then thought about it for a moment before four-betting to 41,100.

Zhang took her time and eventually asked for a confirmation of the raise. She then slowly pulled in her initial three-bet and put in a five-bet to 100,000. Wien took a brief moment before deciding to six-bet shove all in for around 144,000. Zhang called.

Zhang: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Wien: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Wien saw what he was up against and said, "Oh wow. How do I run into that shit?!"

The dealer ran the board out {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Wien was eliminated. "You did a really good acting job preflop," said Wien. "I was just really nervous," replied Zhang.
