Petrangelo Doubles Through Grafton

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On a {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} board, Nick Petrangelo checked to Sam Grafton who moved all in, covering his opponent.

"This is really..." said Petrangelo, putting out both of his time extensions in advance of what looked like being a lengthy tank.

Eventually, he called with {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for top pair against the {q-Spades}{8-Spades} air of Grafton.

"Not the queen bro," said Grafton. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and the river the {a-Diamonds} and Petrangelo doubled up.

Wang Folds to "Fibbing" Katz

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Yong Wang had 65,000 in front of him and Cary Katz had moved all in for over 500,000.

"I got a big hand," said Katz.

"How big?" asked Wang.

"A big pair," replied Katz. "I'll show it to you."

Wang thought a bit more, used a time extension and then open-folded {j-}{j-}

"Ok it was a fib," said Katz tabling {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

"Oh wow," said tablemate Sam Grafton. "And the Oscar goes to!

"I got a big pair; I promise you," he continued, in a poor imitation of Katz. "Tears in your eyes like you don't want your kings cracked!"
