Shaw Eliminates a Player in Feisty Pot

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Less than two levels into the day, hearing a floor shout for security is always a peculiar incident.

According to Carl Shaw, he'd just eliminated an opponent in a three-bet pot with {q-}{q-} against {a-}{9-}. They got it in on a nine-high board and queens held to eliminate his opponent.

His opponent allegedly then stood up and threatened to hit Shaw, after which a slanging match broke out and eventually the player was escorted from the room.

Shaw is up to double starting stack.

Pardo Claims First Victim

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

The flop read {3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} when the player in the small blind shoved and Juan Pardo snap-called in the cutoff with the bigger stack.

Small Blind: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Juan Pardo: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The rest of the board was completed with the {5-Hearts} on the turn and the {k-Clubs} on the river for Pardo to even improve to a set to eliminate his opponent for now as a single reentry is possible for the players who bust before the end of Level 12.

On {j-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} river with around 2,200 in the middle, Stephen Chidwick bet 2,600 from the cutoff and the player on the button raised to 7,000. Chidwick then re-raised all in, and his opponent quickly folded.
