Lewis Rides the Rollercoaster

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Kyle Lewis found himself in a massive three-way pot, with one opponent on the button already all in on the turn. With the under-the-gun player still live in the hand, Lewis put in a 15,000 bet with the board showing {9-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

The under-the-gun player folded, and the at-risk player turned over {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, drawing to a flush against Lewis' {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Lewis' two pair held up on the {5-Spades} river, and the pot pushed Lewis' stack to over 280,000.

On the very next hand, however, Lewis opened for 7,500 in early position and was three-bet all-in by a player in middle position, who jammed for his remaining 63,000 chips. Lewis wasn't even done stacking the chips from the previous hand, but thought for a minute and put in the call.

Kyle Lewis: {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The showdown brought bad news for Lewis as he was dominated preflop, and the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Spades} to give his opponent the double up. Despite that setback, Lewis still sits on 220,000 chips.
