It's the Shark!

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Two-time bracelet winner Humberto Brenes, accompanied by his inseparable shark card protector, will be starting his quest to become the 2019 Main Event champion at one of the corner tables of Amazon Purple. Brenes jumped into action right away, raising to 500 and Joseph Comins peeled from the big blind.

The flop was {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Comins check-folded to a bet of 600 from Brenes.

"I have to show!" he said with a wide smile, and tabled the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} to set the tone right away.

That card came {q-Hearts}, Keichinger continued with a 1,200 bet, and Greenberg called again. The river fell {q-Clubs}, Kelchinger put in the third barrel for 2,100, and Greenberg shut down.

Jacobson Put to the Test Early

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

The 2014 WSOP Main Event champion Martin Jacobson just recently took his seat in the Brasilia Red section. He was put to the test early when he found himself involved in a big pot with Ronnie Pasztor.

With around 22,000 in the middle preflop, the dealer fanned the flop of {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. Jacobson checked from the small blind and Pasztor announced a bet of 15,000 on the button. Jacobson called and the {4-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Jacobson checked again and Pasztor shipped all in for 27,100. Jacobson asked for a count and dipped into the tank for a couple of minutes. Eventually, Jacobson decided to let his hand go and Pasztor claimed the pot.

One-Two-Three Queens Good for Bylsma

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

With 4,300 in the pot and {7-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, Bradley Bylsma bet 1,600 from early position and Joerg Winterhoff called in the cutoff.

The {a-Hearts} hit the felt and Bylsma bet 2,500. Winterhoff called again.

Bylsma turned up {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}, and the dealer announced, "One-two-three queens, set," to inform Winterhoff. Winterhoff mucked and smiled, saying he had ace-jack.
