Dentale Chops

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Picking up the action after the turn of a {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades} board with about 19,000 in the pot, Mike Dentale was all in from middle position and was called by the player on his left. Alex Kostritsyn had check-raised to 37,000 from the big blind and the third player in the hand reraised all in for about 65,000.

Kostritsyn tanked for a bit before he folded.

Dentale showed {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, while the third player in the hand showed {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the same wheel.

Dentale was freerolling, but the river was the {8-Hearts} to chop the pot.

Kostritsyn said he folded a spade straight-flush draw.

Pollak Flummoxed By Bauer

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Kevin Pollak raised to 1,400 from under the gun, and only Thomas Bauer in the big blind called.

Both players checked the {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop, and Bauer bet 2,500 on the {7-Hearts} turn. Pollak called.

Bauer bet 4,500 on the {10-Hearts} river, sending Pollak deep into the tank.

"Your story is that you flopped a flush?" Pollak asked Bauer. "If you don't have a flush, you lose."

Bauer remained nonplussed, even after Pollak took a few moments to stare Bauer down. A few minutes passed before a clock was called, and with a few seconds left on the clock, Pollak folded {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} faceup. Bauer mucked without showing and took down the pot.

Another Set for Kaneshiro

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Three players were on the turn of a board that read {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Josh Arieh checked, Eric Kaneshiro bet 15,000, Lauren Bunch callled the 15,000 and Arieh folded. The river was the {9-Diamonds}. Kaneshiro checked and Bunch quickly checked behind and turned over the {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} but it was no good as Kaneshiro showed the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} for the winning set.

Lu Puts Labat at Risk

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Yunye Lu and Antonie Labat tangled in a pot which had grown to around 35,000 before they came to the {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Clubs} turn. Lu was in the third position and he put in 40,000, covering Labat's remaining 18,000 or so.

Labat was on the button, contemplating a decision that could potentially result in his elimination. He opted to fold, avoiding the risk.

Lehr Tests Rich

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Angelina Rich raised to 1,500 from middle position, and Keith Lehr three-bet to 6,200 from the hijack. Rich called.

The {9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop was checked by both players, and Rich checked again on the {4-Hearts} turn. Lehr flicked a 25k chip in the pot, and Rich, who had 27,600 remaining in her stack, opted to pick a different spot, folding.
