Shay Doubles Through Jones

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Atlee Jones opened to 80,000 from early position and Bryan Shay put his last 345,000 into the middle from the hijack. Action folded back to Jones and after getting confirmation of the amount made the call.

Atlee Jones: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Bryan Shay: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, giving Jones both a pair of nines and a gutshot straight draw. Much to the aid of Shay, the dealer brought the turn {k-Spades} to put him back in the lead. He still had nine outs to fade, however, and did so as the dealer burned and turned the {3-Diamonds} river to secure the double.

Hasson Hammers With River Bet

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Ori Hasson made a large bet of 1,200,000 on the river into a pot of about 900,000 on a board that read {7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Mark Scacewater was the one making deciding whether or not to call the bet. He sat thinking and even smiled to himself a few times as he stared into the abyss of Hasson's dark goggle-like glasses.

Eventually the clock was called on him. As the floor counted down to zero he released his hand and Hasson pulled in the chips.

Seymour Chips Up on Feature Table

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Richard Seymour
Richard Seymour

Marcelo Cudos raised to 80,000 and Michael Lech three-bet to 230,000, which Cudos called. On the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, Cudos checked and called a bet of 125,000 to see the {k-Hearts} on the turn. Cudos checked once more and Lech fired a bet of 250,000 to win the pot.

Lech and Kristofer Kneale then limped in and Richard Seymour raised to 200,000 in order to scoop the pot.

Seymour opened to 85,000 soon after and Lech came along from the big blind. On a {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, Lech check-called 65,000 and did so again for 160,000 on the {j-Diamonds} turn. The {q-Diamonds} river was checked and Lech tabled ace-high while Seymour won the pot, his cards were not shown on the screen.

Nawa Gets a Fold from Hachem

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The action folded to Daniel Hachem on the button who made it 90,000 to go. Hiroki Nawa called from the small blind and the two players went heads-up to a flop of {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Nawa checked to Hachem who continued for 90,000 and Nawa called. The turn brought the {a-Clubs} and both players checked to the {10-Clubs} on the river. Nawa led out for 180,000 and Hachem took his time to make a decision but elected to fold.

Pustina Finds a Dub Through Greenwood

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Vlastimil Pustina got his last 200,000 or so in from the button with {k-Hearts}{9-Spades} but needed to improve against the {a-}{5-} of Sam Greenwood. Pustina found a pair of nines on the board and raked in some much-needed chips, though he remains on the shorter side.

"Life is better than no life," someone said.
