Eric Cloutier Eliminated in 78th Place ($98,120)

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Eric Cloutier
Eric Cloutier

On the secondary feature table, Nicholas Danias opened the action from the cutoff with a raise to 340,000 and Eric Cloutier jammed for 1,000,000 in the big blind, having paid the big blind ante to drop to eight big blinds. Danias snap-called and Cloutier was in need of help.

Eric Cloutier: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}
Nicholas Danias: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop brought no glimpse of hope for Cloutier and he was drawing dead on the {3-Clubs} turn. The {4-Clubs} river was a formality.

Action folded back to Wynkoop, and he called as the flop landed {2-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Wynkoop checked, and Duthweiler continued for 450,000. Wynkoop check-raised to 1,400,000, and Duthweiler mucked.

Su Catches Guay Bluffing

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Timothy Su bet 175,000 from early position on {5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and David Guay raised to what looked like 780,000 in the big blind. Su called and both players checked the {2-Hearts}, bringing a {10-Diamonds}. Guay bet 1.8 million and the chips had barely hit the felt before Su verbalized a call.

Guay double-checked his holding then sent his cards into the muck without showing.

Updated Counts Main Feature Table

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Marcelo Cudos raised to 250,000 on the button and Dario Sammartino called from the big blind. On the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop, Sammartino check-called a bet of 200,000 and did so again for 625,000 on the {j-Diamonds} turn.

The {k-Spades} fell on the river and Sammartino check-folded to a third barrel.

Schindler Still Rising

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

The action folded to Jake Schindler on the button who made it 240,000 to go. Christopher Wynkoop defended from the big blind and the two players saw a flop of {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

Wynkoop check-called a bet of 225,000 from Schindler and the {10-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Wynkoop checked again and Schindler fired out another 800,000. Wynkoop let his hand go this time and Schindler dragged in another pot.

Big Double Up for Dempsey

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Jiwoon Kim was facing a raise before he three-bet to 900,000 on the button. Johnathan Dempsey four-bet shoved all in for 5,450,000 from the big blind and the action was back on Kim. He thought for a couple of minutes and then said "Let's gamble!" as he stuck in calling chips.

Johnathan Dempsey: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Jiwoon Kim: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Dempsey was in a dominating position but the flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} provided some chop outs. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn and the {q-Hearts} on the river changed nothing and Dempsey held on for a double up.

Ajayi: "I Thought It Was the Cooler of a Lifetime"

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Adedapo Ajayi raised to 325,000 from middle position and Andy Hwang called next to act.

From the hijack, Zhen Cai three-bet to 925,000, and action folded back to Ajayi.

Ajayi four-bet to 2,600,000 total, and both Hwang and Cai folded.

"I thought it was a cooler of a lifetime," uttered Ajayi as he flashed the {a-Clubs}.

"I had an ace too," responded Cai.

"Well, you would have need to make some kind of straight then," returned Ajayi.

Rau Doubles Through Ved

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

[Removed:140] raised it up to 250,000 in the cutoff and Kartik Ved three-bet to 650,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Rau just called to see the flop of {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Rau checked to Ved who bet 540,000 and Rau still just called.

The turn brought the {5-Diamonds} and Rau checked again. Ved dropped in a bet of 1,100,000 and Rau check-raised all in for 2,520,000. Ved briefly asked for a count and then called.

Rau turned over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and was dominating Ved's {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} but needed to dodge a diamond as well. The river brought the {3-Spades} and Rau held on to double through Ved.

Charlton Outkicks Luo

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Chang Luo raised in the hijack and was called in two spots. On the {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop, he bet 255,000 and only Daniel Charlton, on his left, called. Luo checked the {j-Diamonds} and Charlton bet 540,000 without delay. Luo called almost as quickly and both immediately checked the {8-Clubs} river.

Luo showed {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for top pair but he couldn't match the kicker held by Charlton: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.
