Bhatia in the Danger Zone

Level 22 : 180,000/360,000, 36,000 ante

Eduards "IlIlIlIliIIl" Kudrjavcevs has won several pots to take over the lead but none of them involved any showdown.

The only hand that led all the way to the river was between open raiser Alexandros "THE Sheriff" Theologis and Luis "Xapilskinha" Assuncao Garla with the latter defending the small blind. They checked the {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, Assuncao Garla check-called the {j-Spades} turn for 1,401,840 and the {q-Spades} river was checked by both.

Assuncao Garla tabled {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nuts and Theologis only held {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for top pair.

Kudrjavcevs then raised to 720,000 and Kunal "Alex_52" Bhatia three-bet to 2,205,000 with 3,818,906 behind out of the small blind, which got through uncontested.

Bhatia's next move was a button raise to 792,000 and Assuncao Garla called from the big blind. The {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop went check, check, Assuncao Garla then bet the {6-Spades} turn for 540,000 and the {7-Diamonds} river for 2,340,000. Bhatia called the first bet without hesitation and used a portion of his time bank on the river.

Assuncao Garla tabled {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for trips jacks and Bhatia was left with rumbs holding {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

Sammartino Earns a Small Pot

Level 22 : 180,000/360,000, 36,000 ante

Dario Sammartino was not in a hurry as of lately to get his stack in preflop and opted for smaller pots instead to maintain the stack size. Just now he raised the button to 720,000 and Wenhao "pwhwin" Peng came along from the big blind.

On a {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, Peng checked and Sammartino's bet of 594,000 took it down.

Hen "GeorgeTheVet" Rosilio Eliminated in 11th Place (HK$168,780)

Level 21 : 160,000/320,000, 32,000 ante

In the very last hand of the level, Eduards "IlIlIlIliIIl" Kudrjavcevs raised to 704,000 in the cutoff and Hen "GeorgeTheVet" Rosilio in the big blind responded with a shove for 9,318,126. Kudrjavcevs beat him into the pot as the cards were flipped over.

Hen "GeorgeTheVet" Rosilio: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Eduards "IlIlIlIliIIl" Kudrjavcevs: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop left Rosilio on thin ice as he needed running aces to survive. A blank {7-Spades} turn sealed his fate and the {q-Hearts} river was a mere formality. Rosilio has been eliminated in 11th place and takes home HK$168,779.70 ($21,941).

Assuncao Garla Pulls Ahead of Moron

Level 21 : 160,000/320,000, 32,000 ante

Luis "Xapilskinha" Assuncao Garla opened to 640,000 on the button and was called by Ignacio "Curandero" Moron in the big blind. Moron check-called bets of 528,000 on the {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and 1,328,000 on the {q-Hearts} turn. The {3-Spades} river was checked and Assuncao Garla had the best hand with {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, Moron only tabled {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

Peng Chips Up

Level 21 : 160,000/320,000, 32,000 ante

Wenhao "pwhwin" Peng has jumped above 20 million in chips after winning two pots in a row against Alan "TheCockroach" Schein and Kunal "Alex_52" Bhatia.

Schein raised to 640,000 and called a three-bet to 1,864,000 by Peng in the big blind. The {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop brought Peng's continuation bet for 2,040,000, exactly half the pot, and that ended the action right there.

Peng then raised to 800,000 out of the small blind and Bhatia defended the big blind. Peng check-called 591,360 on the {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, and his bet of 2,231,040 on the {k-Clubs} turn broke Bhatia's resistance.

Small Pot for Theologis

Level 21 : 160,000/320,000, 32,000 ante

Hen "GeorgeTheVet" Rosilio made it 704,000 to go from the under-the-gun position and Alexandros "THE Sheriff" Theologis tossed in the additional chips from the big blind. Theologis check-called a bet of 570,240 on the {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop and the {a-Hearts} turn was checked.

Theologis then bet the {q-Diamonds} river for 2,053,197 and Rosilio opted to fold.
