On Day 1T of Event #77: $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event with a guarantee of $25,000,000 was the second-biggest flight of the series with 437 players registering the starting day. After fifteen levels of 30 minutes each, 83 of them made it through to Day 2 that will be played out on Sunday, August 30 at 6:30 p.m. UTC.

Chipleader at the end of the flight was Warley "Shikamaru-" Galvao of Brazil, who bagged 931,221 to win the flight and put himself among the top 10 stacks at the start of Day 2. Fellow Brazilian Dennys "easy game1" Ramos followed closely behind with 892,346 in chips, while Alexander "Jahad" Deutsch rounded out the top three with 845,928.

Michael "MiguelFiesta" Lech, who won his maiden bracelet during the WSOP.com portion of this festival to add to his eight WSOP circuit rings, bagged 671,675 to put himself in strong contention going into Day 2. Other notables that advanced include Dan "oiltrader" Shak (180,792) and Gianluca Speranza (153,630).

For GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu, the Main Event is over after busting his third and final allowed bullet in this flight. Fellow ambassador Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier also ran out of chips, as did the likes of Pascal Hartmann, Bryan Paris,
Phachara Wongwichit, and Max Silver.

Three more starting flights remain until the total field is set. On Saturday, two flights will kick off at noon and 6 p.m. UTC, respectively. On Sunday, there will be one final flight with 20 minute-levels instead of 30 starting at noon UTC, before all survivors from the 23 flights return at 6:30 p.m. to embark on an expected ultra-long Day 2. Day 2 will hard stop when 40 players remain.
