Welcome to Event #23: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Knockout
The 2020 Online World Series of Poker continues today with Event #23: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Knockout at 3:00 p.m. PDT. In this tournament, every player is a $100 bounty.
The tournament is a freezeout, meaning re-entries and rebuys are not allowed. Late registration will be available for four hours until 7 p.m. PDT.
Tournament tickets are not usable for this event. Players will start with 25,000 in chips and play 15-minute levels.
This is a single day event meaning the entire tournament will be played out online and the winner will take home a WSOP Gold Bracelet.
This is the twenty-third of 85 bracelet events being held on WSOP.com (31 events – one each day for the month of July) and GG Poker (holding the remaining 54 events).
How To Play
The first step in getting set up to play on WSOP.com is to download the client. You can do so for both mobile (Android and iOS) and desktop (Windows 7 or higher and Mac OS X 10.6.8).

The former client will cater to players in Nevada and New Jersey (players in Delaware are NOT able to participate), while the latter will serve the international base.
WSOP.com Bracelet Event Schedule
As previously mentioned, the online bracelet schedule for the Summer Online WSOP is comprised of 31 events running daily throughout July. THEY ARE ALL ONE-DAY EVENTS.
The scheduled WSOP.com events are available in hold'em and Omaha formats. Popular live staples like the BIG 50 and Senior's Event have been moved online.
The marquee tournament is $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship, which takes place on Friday, July 31. All events will kick off at 3 p.m. PDT.

WSOP Legend: Jeff Lisandro Wins Three Stud Bracelets in One Year

The 2009 World Series of Poker stood out in history for several things. It was the second year of the now-defunct November Nine, when Joe Cada became the youngest-ever world champion at 21 after defeating Maryland logger Darvin Moon heads-up. Phil Ivey finished seventh in the event, ensuring massive coverage throughout the Main Event and the final table in November.
While the 2009 Main Event is probably what's remembered most from that year, there was another story brewing that year when Australian professional Jeff Lisandro went on an unprecedented tear in the stud portion of the WSOP, and pulled off a feat that's yet to be matched: winning three stud-events in a single year.
To this date, Lisandro remains the only player to have pulled off that feat in nothing but stud events, and was the first player since Ivey in 2002 to win three bracelets in a single summer.

Through the first 22 events of the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) online series, no player has cashed more events than Ryan "protential" Laplante, who has 14 scores to his credit totaling a combined $35,163.
What's really impressive is that Laplante has cashed the last nine tournaments in a row. In a few hours, we'll know if he can possibly make it 10!

Bounty Hunters Take Aim at Paul "pwlee57" Lee

John "PokerBull197" Dombroski raised to 120 under the gun and "7seungmin" called from middle position. Paul "pwlee57" Lee then moved all in for 840 next to act and "Robertszucs," who was next in line, flatted before the player in the small blind came along.
Dombroski called as well, "7seungmin" folded, and the flop came down 
. Two checks saw "Robertszucs" bet 1,530 and that inspired the other two active players to fold.

"Robertszucs" was ahead with a pair of sevens while Lee held two overs. The 
turn gave Lee a gutshot straight draw as well, but he missed when the 
bricked on the river. With that, "Robertszucs" claimed the $100 bounty.

Butler Gets Early Cooler

Action on the table folded around to "PokerPriest" who raised to 150 from late position and Brandon "BButler" Butler three-bet to 442 from the hijack.
Action folded back around to "PokerPriest" who four-bet to 1,200 and Butler called to see a 
flop.
"PokerPriest" continued for 890 and Butler called to see the 
appear on the turn.
"PokerPriest" led out for 2,555 which was called by Butler and the 
completed the board on the river.
"PokerPriest" check-called Butler's 4,690 bet and both players tabled their hands.
Butler held 
for a pair of ladies but they were no good as "PokerPriest" held 
to win the pot.
