Livshitz Pulling Away, Astedt Getting Short

With an average stack of 46 big blinds, play has slowed down significantly since five handed play started. Gabi Livshitz is starting to pull away from the field, hold over 62 million in chips. Shengchao "szhu" Zhu is the only other player over 40 million. Meanwhile, Niklas Astedt has just lost a pot that has seen his stack drop down to just 12 big blinds.

Updated Counts From the Final Five

Lasse “joutoukko” Enojarvi Eliminated in 6th Place ($14,895 + $4,778)

Blinds: 350,000/700,000

Gabi "kidrurim" Livshitz raised to 1,400,000, and on the button, Lasse “joutoukko” Enojarvi three bet to 5,400,000, more than half his stack. Livshitz would call, and the flop came down {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Livshitz checked, and snap called wen Enojarvi shoved their final five million in. Livshitz had flopped a straight, leaving Enojarvi drawing to runner runner. The {7-Hearts} turn ended the hand, getting play down to just five handed.

Livshitz Scores Big Double Up

Blinds: 300,000/600,000

Gabi "kidrurim" Livshitz started the action by raising to 1,200,000, only to see Shengchao "szhu" Zhu three bet next to act to 4,200,000. Back to Livshitz now, and he would four bet to 13,200,000. Zhu would call that bet, and the flop came down {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. Zhu would bet enough to set Livshitz all in, and he would call with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. They were well ahead of the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} held by Zhu, and Livshitz would only end up improving, as the turn was a blank, and the river gave him a full house, aces full.

Shihhui "RadishGod" Wang Eliminated in 7th Place ($10,409 + $11,708)

Blinds: 300,000/600,000

Shihhui "RadishGod" Wang would get their short stack in prefop holding {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and they were up against the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} of Gabi "kidrurim" Livshitz. The flop came down {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} giving Livshitz a leading two pair. The {6-Diamonds} turn didn't change anything, and the {9-Spades} only improved Livshitz's hand, as they score the first knockout of the final table.

Final Table Seating Chart for Event #17 $400 PLOSSUS (Bounty) $1M GTD

"TrumptheGr8" Eliminated in 8th Place

Blinds: 300,000/600,000

After the flop of {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, "TrumptheGr8" would get his final chips in holding {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, and they were called by Niklas Astedt, who showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}. The turn {5-Diamonds} brought some extra outs for Astedt, but that wouldn't be necessary, as the {j-Hearts} on the river gave Astedt a set of jacks.

The final seven are taking a short break before the final table starts. We will post a seating chart and updated counts from the final seven shortly!

Livshitz Doubles Through Ambraisse

Blinds: 250,000/500,000

Idris Ambraisse and Gabi "kidrurim" Livshitz were heads up on a flop of {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} when Livshitz typed in "one time", and moved all in for about seven million. Ambraisse would call with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, and his two pair was ahead of the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} of Livshitz. A king on the turn quickly flipped the script, and Ambraisse wasn't able to catch up on the river, sending a bit pot over to Livshitz.

Fernando "JNandez87" Habegger Eliminated in 9th Place

Blinds: 200,000/400,000

In a battle of the blinds, "sjeverest" and Fernando "JNandez87" Habegger raised a few times until over 30 million chips were in the pot preflop. Habegger held {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, and he was ahead of the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} of "sjeverest." They would flop two pair on the {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, and the aces weren't able to catch up, as the bord finished out {k-Hearts} and {6-Diamonds}.

With that, we are now at hand for hand play. WIth one more elimination, the final table of seven will be determined.

Wang Doubles Through Zhu

Blinds: 200,000/400,000

After Shengchao "szhu" Zhu raised to 1,200,000, Shihhui "RadishGod" Wang moved all in for about 3,200,000. Zhu called with {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, and he was ahead of the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. The flop of {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} smashed Wang, giving him multiple straight draws and a flush draw, and the {q-Hearts} on the turn left Zhu's aces drawing dead.
