Berkey Hooks Riess Out

Matt Berkey
Matt Berkey

Ryan "BitC0in" Riess shoved all in for 13,313 from early position. Matt "berkey11_S4Y" Berkey re-shoved for 30,268 and everyone else folded.

Berkey had the {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} while Riess had the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.

The flop hit Berkey as it came the {j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} to give Riess and open ender, but the river came the {9-Clubs} to be the last card Riess would see in the tournament.

Lucky River Secured Negreanu's Double

Level 9 : 300/600, 60 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

A series of preflop raises saw Daniel "DNegs" Negreanu four-bet jam 16,122 from the cutoff and Bryan "Pellepelle" Piccioli called from the small blind.

Bryan "Pellepelle" Piccioli: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Daniel "DNegs" Negreanu: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Negreanu was way behind needing help and the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop came paired bringing possible chop outs.

The {10-Diamonds} turn wasn't a bad sight for Negreanu as it gave him the nut flush draw but the {8-Hearts} river was even better as it paired his eight and secured his double-up.
