Day 2 of Event #14: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Features Big Names Amongst 76 Remaining Players

Day 2 of Event #14: $1,500 Seven Card Stud is set to begin at 2 p.m. local time with 76 players remaining out of a starting field of 260 entries.

Elias Hourani of Houston begins the day as chip leader with a stack of 240,000. He holds a slim lead over WSOP Bracelet winner Brendan Taylor who is second in chips with 236,500 in chips.

This seven card stud field is a star studded one as, in addition to Taylor, five of the top eight stacks to start the day own at least one WSOP Bracelet including; Kevin Gerhart who sits fourth in chps with 220,500, Dan Heimiller who is fifth with 184,000, Steve Albini (seventh with 174,500) and none other than David Williams who brings a nice stack of 172,500 in chips to the table.

Outside of the big stacks there are several other well-known players still alive. Two four-time bracelet winners still remain in Tom McEvoy, who has 116,000 in chips, and Shaun Deeb who bagged 96,000 last night. More mutli-time bracelet winners who will look for a big day 2 include two-time winners Brandon Shack-Harris (95,000) and Anthony Zinno (73,500) as well as three-time bracelet winner Adam Friedman (78,500)

There is a lot to be played for today as the top 39 will make the money and players will be aiming to make a deep run. Levels will be extended to 60 minutes today and the plan is to play ten levels. There will be a 15-minute break every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after level 21 (roughly 8:30 p.m. local time).
