Ruzicka Puts Fox to the Test

Level 12 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

With the flop showing {4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs}, Vojtech Ruzicka, from under the gun, bet enough to put Elio Fox all in. Fox only had about 120,000 remaining and thought about the decision for several minutes before deciding to fold.

Fox later said he folded {a-}{3-} for a straight draw.

Farrell Gets Double Through Valli

Level 12 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Krista Farrell raised to 50,000 from the cutoff, Joao Valli three-bet to 225,000 from the small blind, and Farrell four-bet jammed for her last 500,000. Valli called.

Krista Farrell: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Joao Valli: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Valli was well behind and stayed there as the {8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts} board only improved him to a pair of nines. Farrell, the last woman remaining in the field, doubled up with her pocket aces.

Vojtech Ruzicka

On a flop of {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, there was roughly 135,000 in the middle and Joao Valli checked to Vojtech Ruzicka who put in a bet of 65,000 and Valli made the call.

The turn was the {q-Clubs} and Valli decided to lead out for a bet of 55,000 and Ruzicka called.

On the {j-Diamonds} river, Valli checked and Ruzicka fired out a bet of 190,000. Valli thought about it for about 15 seconds and threw the hand into the muck.

Goldberg Puts Ruiz All In

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

With around 400,000 already in the pot by the turn, Fred Goldberg bet enough to put Rafa Ruiz all in on a board of {6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Ruiz had about 300,000 remaining and went into the tank for several minutes. He eventually folded.

"Do you want to see? If you want to see I'll show you," Goldberg said. But Ruiz shook his head and Goldberg slid his cards back to the dealer face-down.

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Pat Kelly raised to 75,000 from the cutoff and Rok Gostisa came along with a call from the button. Kelly bet 90,000 on the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} before Gostisa came back with a raise to 220,000.

Waysei's Stack Keeps Growing

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The action folded around to the button player who jammed for his last 245,000 and Koveh Waysei called in the big blind.

Button: {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Koveh Waysei: {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}

It was a coin flip situation but Waysei took the lead when the flop came {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. The opponent couldn't catch a three to stay alive when it board completed with the {8-Diamonds} on the turn and {6-Clubs} on the river, sending him to the payout desk.

Goldberg's Good Timing Gets Him a Knock Out

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Huy Lam raised to 45,000 pre-flop before another player shoved from the button. Fred Goldberg was in the small blind and re-shoved after considering the decision for a moment. Lam folded his cards.

Goldberg was in good shape with {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} against his opponent's {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. He stayed ahead as the board ran out {3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, sending the pot to the WSOP bracelet winner.

"Good timing," said a tablemate.

"It was good timing," replied Goldberg. "It was a nice squeeze, I'll tell you that."

Bierria Has a Monster Stack as Two Players Bust

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Corey Bierria with {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} had an opponent all in with {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Bierria flopped a set on a {q-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop, the {6-Hearts} turn gave his opponent some hope of a miracle run-out, but the {2-Diamonds} river sealed the knockout as Bierria took the tournament chip lead.

"Right place, right time," Bierria said as he stacked 1,800,000.

On the next hand at this table, John Lyons shoved his short-stack with {10-Hearts}{5-Spades} against D.J. Alexander with {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Lyons missed the {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board and was sent to the rail.
