Funaro Makes a Small Full House; Kanit Eliminated

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Ian O'Hara raised to 5,200 from under the gun and was called by Frank Funaro on the button and Erwann Pecheux in the big blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and the action checked around to the {9-Clubs} on the turn.

Pecheux and O'Hara checked again to allow Funaro to toss in a bet of 5,200. Pecheaux called and O'Hara let his hand go. The river was the {9-Hearts} and both players knuckled the table. Pecheux showed {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} but Funaro had a slightly bigger full house with {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

At another table, Mustapha Kanit was heads-up in a pot with Justin Lapka. With the board reading {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, the two players had all their chips in the middle with Kanit at risk.

Lapka showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and had Kanit out-kicked who held {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. The river was the {j-Spades} and Kanit was unable to improve as he was quickly eliminated on Day 2.
