Yen Has a Better Two Pair

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Alexander Yen
Alexander Yen

Dylan Weisman limped in from the small blind, then called when big blind Alexander Yen raised. They went heads-up to a flop of {5-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, and Weisman check-called a bet of 200,000.

On the {4-Hearts} turn, Yen bet 400,000 and Weisman again check-called. Both players checked the {8-Diamonds} river.

"Two pair," Weisman announced, showing {k-}{5-}. But Yen turned over {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for kings and sixes to win the pot and dent the chip leader's stack.

Vanloo Shoves on Barakat

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Youness Barakat and Tim Vanloo went heads-up to a flop of {8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Vanloo, in the big blind, open-shoved a stack of 100,000 in the middle to put Barakat all in for his last 300,000.

Barakat went into the tank for several minutes. At one point, he asked Craig Chait and Dylan Weisman, who were having a conversation about college football, for some quiet.

Barakat eventually folded to drop down to the table short-stack, while Vanloo is closing in on Weisman for the chip lead.

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Karen Sarkisyan
Karen Sarkisyan

Alexander Yen raised to 100,000 pre-flop and was called by Ran Niv and Manan Bhandari. From the big blind, Karen Sarkisyan moved his short-stack in the middle and all three opponents called.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Yen led out for 200,000. Only Niv called to see the {j-Clubs} on the turn.

Both players checked, then Yen bet 200,000 again on the {k-Spades} river. Niv called, and both players turned over {a-}{k-} for trip kings. Sarkisyan mucked and headed to the payout cage one spot off the official final table.
