Pan Takes From Negreanu

Level 14

Limit Hold'em

On a flop of {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, Daniel Negreanu bet out of the blinds and Qinghai Pan raised, Negreanu three-bet and Pan called. The {2-Clubs} turn and {9-Clubs} river brought a bet by Negreanu and a call by Pan for the former to reveal {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the top pair and top kicker.

Pan, however, had that beat with {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for the overpair to earn the pot.

"I thought I really had something on the flop," Negreanu mentioned in table chat.
