638 Players Return for Day 2 of The Reunion at 10 a.m
The World Series of Poker promised a massive field for Event #4: $500 The Reunion No-Limit Hold'em with a $5 million guaranteed prize pool, and they delivered.
Perhaps it was the yearning to return to the felt after nearly two years, or the desire to grab a share of that prize pool and take a shot at winning a WSOP bracelet, but the poker world came out for the tournament. A total of 12,975 entries across three starting flights blew past the guarantee, generating a prize pool of $5,449,500.
Of those entries, only 638 will return to play Day 2 at 10 a.m. PST today. The chip leader is Robert Brobyn, who cracked kings with 
late on Day 1B to finish with 5,015,000. Behind him are 2018 bracelet winner Mike Takayama (4,575,000), Jon Lindquist (3,625,000), Dave Alfa (3,070,000), and Tyler Jamison (3,040,000).
Plenty of notables remain in the hunt, including bracelet winners Joey Weissman (2,275,000), Ryan Laplante (2,100,000), Joseph Cheong (2,030,000), and Ronnie Bardah (2,005,000). Former Millionaire Maker champions Adrian Buckley (2,600,000) and John Gorsuch (2,220,000), no strangers to navigating through large fields, are also still in the mix. Poker Hall of Famer Barry Greenstein survived Day 1 on a short-stack of 745,000.
The remaining players will play 17 40-minute levels or down to the final five, whichever comes later. Blinds will begin in Level 23 at 30,000-60,000, with a 60,000 big blind ante. PokerNews will be here the entire way providing updates as the field gets whittled down to the final table.
