Hart's Cracked Aces Counterfeit Flopped Two Pair

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

According to players at the table, the action saw an open from early position, a call from a middle position player, as did J.N. Hart in late position, and the big blind player.

The flop was {j-}{3-}{8-} and the big blind put out a bet of 3,000. Action folded back to Hart who made a small raise and after a series of back-and-forth min-raises, they eventually got all of Hart's 35,000 stack in the middle.

J.N. Hart: {a-}{a-}
Big Blind: {j-}{8-}

Hart's aces were in a position to be cracked as she was behind on the flop, but still had several outs to stay alive. The turn was the {10-} and if Hart didn't improve on the river, her heart would be cracked along with her aces. The {3-} completed the board to counterfeit the flopped two pair, and give Hart the pot with better two pair. Although she didn't immediately realize her aces weren't cracked after all, she happily raked in the pot.
