Le Adds to His Chip Lead

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Tommy Le
Tommy Le

Four-ways to a flop of {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, action checked to Tommy Le, who bet 110,000. Ashly Butler called, while Arthur Morris and Anderson Ireland folded.

Le and Butler both checked the {k-Diamonds} turn, then on the {2-Diamonds} river, Le bet 175,000 and got a quick call from Butler.

Le showed {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a jack-high flush and Butler mucked his hand.

With the win, Le is now solidly over four million in chips.

Kyle Montgomery Eliminated in 10th Place ($43,601)

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Kyle Montgomery
Kyle Montgomery

Kyle Montgomery's early position raise was met with a three-bet from Chris Sandrock on the button. Montgomery called to see the {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, and announced all-in for his remaining 575,000 chips. Sandrock called, and both hands were turned over.

Kyle Montgomery: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Chris Sandrock: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

Sandrock's pair of kings left Montgomery behind, and the {8-Spades} turn and {7-Spades} river ended his run in 10th place.

Michael Heritsch Eliminated in 11th Place ($43,601)

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Michael Heritsch
Michael Heritsch

Tommy Le raised from the button to 110,000 and got three-bet by Michael Heritsch in the small blind to 370,000. Artem Maximov folded the big blind, and Le instantly dropped a stack of 100,000 chips onto his original bet to put Heritsch all-in.

Heritsch gave it some brief consideration as he still had 505,000 behind, but then decided to call and put his tournament life at risk.

Michael Heritsch: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Tommy Le: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, and while Heritsch did get help on the flop with the king, no further aid came, and he was eliminated in 11th place, sending a huge pot to Le.

Jonathan Witz Eliminated in 12th Place ($35,007)

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jonathan Witz
Jonathan Witz

Jonathan Witz limped from under the gun and another four players did so in order to see a flop of {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}. It checked to Witz and he bet the pot for 240,000 with some 80,000 behind. Chris Sandrock called and Eli Elezra in the small blind tank-called as well with exactly 300,000 behind.

The {4-Diamonds} followed on the turn and Elezra moved all-in, Witz called all-in and Sandrock snap-called to put two players at risk.

Jonathan Witz: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Eli Elezra: {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Chris Sandrock: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Witz needed to pair his king or eight to remain in contention while Elezra needed to avoid a spade. He did so thanks to the {9-Hearts} river as Witz was eliminated in 12th place for $35,007. Elezra more than doubled as he earned the entire pot.

Sandrock Takes From Elezra

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Four ways limped to the {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Eli Elezra in the big blind was the only one to check-call a bet worth 100,000 by Chris Sandrock in the cutoff. Elezra then checked the {3-Hearts} turn and Sandrock now bet 325,000, which Elezra called once more.

Both checked the {7-Diamonds} on the river and Elezra announced "I have nothing" after he had missed a wrap and heart flush draw. Sandrock only had the {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} but that won the pot.

Sandrock's Double Leaves Witz Short

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jonathan Witz raised in middle position and found two callers in Chris Sandrock and Anderson Ireland. Witz continued betting on the {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, and Sandrock moved his remaining chips into the middle. Ireland folded, and Witz called putting Sandrock at risk.

Chris Sandrock: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Jonathan Witz: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{6-}{x-}

Witz showed two pair, while Sandrock had top pair and a flush draw. The {8-Clubs} turn changed nothing, but the {3-Hearts} river completed Sandrock's flush to double up and leave Witz short.

Butler Starts Well After the Break

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Ashly Butler raised to 120,000 from under the gun and was called by Arthur Morris on the button and Jeremy Ausmus as the single big blind. On a flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, all three players checked and the action on the {4-Spades} turn was checked to Morris. He bet 225,000 and Butler was the only caller.

The two remaining players checked the {5-Hearts} on the river and Butler's {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} earned the pot.

Butler then also scooped the next medium-sized pot in showdown against Tommy Le to further boost his stack.
