Grafton Looking For Comeback After Aces Beat

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Not too long ago on a board of {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, Kory Mathewson was seen acquiring chips from Sam Grafton.

Mathewson held {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Grafton held {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}. The hand left Grafton with under 10,000 chips but he has since gained back a lot of chips as he attempts to rise from the ashes on table #11, and now appears to be the chip leader of the table as the players go on dinner break.

Cheong Versus Gruneberg

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Joseph Cheong and Zachary Gruneberg are heads up and only one will advance.

Cheong mentioned Gruneberg was "down to 15k at one point and got f______ lucky", which Gruneberg had to agree with. Gruneberg had been drawing dead and went runner-runner to chop with a flush on board. Cheong predicted Gruneberg would make a comeback and win the table after getting that fortunate runout to stay alive.

In a later hand, Cheong jammed preflop and Gruneberg flipped over one card at a time to sweat the reveal with Cheong and called for his remaining 31,000 chips when he saw the hand.

Zachary Gruneberg: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Joseph Cheong: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to secure the double for Gruneberg, however, Cheong still leads.
