Lamy Takes Out Williams

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

At table #68, David Williams opened from the hijack to 1,200. The action folded to Gilles Lamy in the small blind who three-bet to 3,500. Williams made the call and they went heads-up to the flop.

Lamy lead the {8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop with a bet of 4,000. Williams three-bet to 13,500 and Lamy called.

The turn card was the {a-Diamonds} and the action checked through.

The river brought the {a-Spades}. Lamy shoved all-in having Williams covered and he snap-called.

Gilles Lamy tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for aces full of kings. Williams showed one card the {a-Hearts} and packed up.

Mateos Tanks and Folds River

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Over at Table #59 where Kelly Minkin is sat in seat 1 and next to her is Adrian Mateos in seat 2, Mateos was facing a river bet and was deep in the tank.

The board read {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Mateos in middle position was facing a 5,500 bet from the hijack player with 11,000 in the pot. Mateos eventually conceded the hand to his opponent to drop below starting stack.

Adam Lamers

At Table #17, the player in the cutoff opened to 1,100 and PokerNews' own Adam Lamers called on the button as did the player in the small blind. They went three-ways to the flop.

The flop came {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and the action checked to Lamers who threw out a bet of 1,300, to which both opponents called.

The turn was the {5-Hearts} and again it checked to Lamers who sized up to 5,300. Both of his opponents folded and he scooped the pot.

Yoshimichi Chips Up After River Fold

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Just before the break on Table #69, Makoto Yoshimichi was sitting in seat 10 and jammed for his remaining 13,000 on a board of {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

With 40,000 now in the pot, the player in seat 1 thought about it for a moment but ultimately folded.

Dan Shak in seat 6 said, "I had the best hand, I'll tell you that", but as he wasn't in the hand on the river, Yoshimichi took the pot uncontested.
