Troy Donaldson

Action folded to Troy Donaldson who raised all in for 1,110,000 from the small blind and Nick Yunis looked him up from the big blind.

Troy Donaldson:{q-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Nick Yunis: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Donaldson was behind holding two live cards but neither appeared on the {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop.

The {7-Hearts} turn turn did give Donaldson a little hope adding more outs with a gutshot straight draw, but the {3-Hearts} completed the board on the river and ended his tournament in ninth place for $40,525.

Benitez Clashes With Holsonback Twice

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Johnathan Holsonback was the first to act and raised to 400,000. Francisco Benitez called from the big blind and they saw the flop {3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Benitez led for his last 750,000 and Holsonback mucked.

On the next hand, Francisco Benitez limped from the small blind and Johnathan Holsonback checked his option.

The flop came {10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and both players checked to the turn {k-Diamonds}. Benitez bet 200,000 and was called by Holsonback.

Both players checked the {k-Clubs} river and Holsonback showed {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. It was no good though as Benitez showed {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

Run Good Strikes Again

Level 31 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante
John Gallaher
John Gallaher

Jun Obara raised all in from the button, Tuan Phan folded his small blind and action was on John "Johnny Run Good" Gallaher who looked down at his cards, paused, then called off his 2,025,000 stack from the big blind.

John Gallaher: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Jun Obara: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Gallaher was ahead until the {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop hit the felt pairing Obara's seven while giving him a gutshot straight draw.

The {4-Diamonds} turn wasn't a good sight for Gallaher as not only did it complete Obara's straight, it also gave him a straight flush draw.

Gallaher was drawing slim as the only card that could save him was a none-diamond nine.

Luckily for him, he didn't get the knick-name "Johnny Run Good" for no reason as the dealer completed the board with the {9-Spades} on the river and secured his double-up.

Rast Flops Top Pair

Level 31 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

In a blind versus blind limped pot, the flop came {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Nick Yunis check-called a 300,000 bet from Brian Rast.

On the {a-Diamonds} turn both players checked to see the {2-Spades} on the river. Yunis checked again and Rast fired in a bet of 425,000. Yunis thought it over for some time and put in the chips to call.

Rast tabled {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the top pair on the flop and Yunis mucked his hand.
