Rast Joins and Wins

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Brian Rast
Brian Rast

Brian Rast is coming off a victory and his fifth WSOP gold bracelet in Event #51: $3,000 NLH 6-Handed and just recently took his seat for the first time in this event. The action folded around to Jesse Yaginuma who limped in from the small blind and Rast checked his option.

The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Yaginuma led out with a bet of 4,000. Rast called and the {k-Hearts} paired the board on the turn. Yaginuma fired another 12,000 and Rast still called to see the {6-Diamonds} on the river.

Yaginuma checked this time and Rast threw in a bet of 40,000. Yaginuma quickly mucked his cards and Rast collected his first pot of the day.

Dam Flushes Seidel to the Rail

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Erik Seidel was down to just 40,000 chips and he managed to get all of his chips in the middle preflop against Martin Dam.

Erik Seidel: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Martin Dam: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The flop of {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} gave Seidel the best hand with a pair of eights but he had a long way to go. It was the {7-Hearts} on the turn that made Dam a flush and the {9-Hearts} on the river was insignificant as Seidel left the tournament area.
