"Russian Power" Works for Kuznetsov

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Steve Yea raised to 105,000 from the button and Nikita Kuznetsov defended his big blind. The flop came {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, Kuznetsov checked and Yea bet 75,000. Kuznetsov responded with a raise to 235,000 for Yea to look at his cards once more before folding.

A few hands later, Yea had raised from the cutoff and Asi Moshe called on the button. Kuznetsov three-bet from the small blind for both Yea and Moshe to call.

The flop came {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, Kuznetsov barreled a bet of 375,000 over the line for only Moshe to come along.

They both checked through the {8-Hearts} on the turn and the {7-Clubs} on the river. Kuznetsov tabled the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for two pair for Moshe to muck.

Kuznetsov celebrated loudly. "You can write Russian Power!" he said with a wink while looking at the PokerNews live reporting team.

Sowers Takes Some From Moshe

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Asi Moshe opened to 100,000 from middle position and Mike Sowers called on the button, as did Steve Yea in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and all three players checked. The {k-Diamonds} turn saw Moshe bet 275,000 which only Sowers called.

The {j-Spades} completed the board and after Moshe checked, Sowers bet 350,000. Moshe thought about it for some time before calling.

Sowers showed {k-Spades}{9-Spades} to take the pot as Moshe mucked.
